    Xbox one S won't output 1440p on 3440x1440p acer predator X34 monitor

when i change the override thing from Auto-Detect to HDMI, it comes up with a new video output - 1440p.

    Hello noahwheeler1,

Thank you for sharing your concern here in Xbox Community Forum and we hope that all is well.

It appears that you are having issue getting the maximum resolution settings of your monitor when connecting with your Xbox console. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured that we will do anything in our capability to assist you with your concern.

The Xbox Series X supports 4K resolution. However, not all monitors are compatible with the Xbox Series X. If your monitor is not showing up on auto recommended override when connecting the monitor with Xbox Series X, it may be because your monitor is not compatible with the Xbox Series X. Refer to your device manufacturer for your device supported features.

Here are the Video setup and settings guidelines for connecting your Xbox Console to get 4K gaming.

    1. Be sure to use the right cable.

    • The Xbox Series X console comes with a 2-meter Ultra High-Speed HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.1 features, including 4K gaming at 120Hz.
    2. Set up your monitor. Try enabling Compatibility Mode in your monitor. You may refer to the device manual or device manufacturer's support for further assistance.

    3. Check your console settings:

    • Xbox button to open the guide, then go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options > 4K details.

For your reference, see: Troubleshooting 4K and HDR | Xbox Support

We look forward to your response. Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.

    Sincerely,

How do I find the motion enhancement/anti judder option in my TV?

Sorry, I failed to mention: I'm on SX and the TV is hdmi 2.1 capable.

If I enable VRR, I can no longer use the motion smoothening, anti-judder feature so I need to keep that off and ALLM from the Xbox settings as well.

I do have to lower resolution to 1440p to enable 120hz by using manual override instead of auto-detect. That's odd I think, as the TV should show the two refresh rates available but there's no refresh rate option at all just 4k uhd, 1080p and 720p. When I do the manual override thing, I don't see 4k uhd as a resolution option although the 60hz/120hz option below that pops up!

    Why is that though?

Xbox one s vrr not working

My override was on hdmi which is probably why it didn’t work but now I switch to auto detect and it now works
