    1440p and original Xbox One


    I have an original Xbox 1 and I just bought a 1440p moniter and wasn’t sure if when the new update was released I would be able to take advantage of this on my older Xbox one. As of now I can only go up to 1080p.

    Xbox one x support 1440p pc monitor? i have a 1440p monitor but not visible option 1440p...only 1080p or 720p......help me please...

    1440p support was actually confirmed by the Xbox developers (on twitter), but so far, there is still absolutely no news, dates, or
    other hints about when this will be implemented.

    For now, 1440p monitors are going to default to 1080p.

    Hi,

    Sorry, but 1440P support (2560x1440) is only available on the Xbox One S and X, the original console hardware isn't capable of generating this resolution.

    While the 4k is nice I played on a 1440p before I went 4k. 1440p looked very good on the X. 1080p there was more of a difference of coarse. I have 2 xboxes an original and the x. The x's performance is much better. Load times are much faster. Sometimes I
    have a hard time playing from the original.

    And that will stay at 1440p? Misread what the faq page says then, swear it said it would auto to 4k when possible.
    The output will say 1440p but it will be supersampling in the background, so it will render at 4k on your console and output to 1440p and it will be slightly better than regular 1440p.

    This is only for Xbox one S and X I believe.

    The original poster bought an Xbox One S, not a Series S and was comparing it to an Xbox One X, not a Series X.

    Xbox One and current gen consoles have an option to run at 1440p. And PCs should have that option.

    What platform are you trying to run 1440p on and what monitor?
