    Hi guys,

    I've been searching many places / trying many things in the hope that I might be able to get 1440p@120hz working on this monitor which I picked up two days back. It seems nothing I do has got it working. Each time I try change to 1440p@120hz it comes up with "This refresh rate isn't supported with your current resolution, so we've set the highest resolution supported by your display with this refresh rate" and then switches to 1080p@120hz."

    I have run through a lot of different options, tried both HDMI ports on the monitor, tried multiple HDMI cables, confirmed 1440p@120hz works with my PC on said monitor, but the Xbox and the ViewSonic just don't want to seem to play nice with one another.

    I realise 1440p@120hz on the One X isn't really going to add many/any benefits right now, that's fine, my main concern is the Series X might have similar issues with the monitor at which point it would then be a bit of a bummer. Hoping maybe someone out there is running the same monitor and might be able to provide more insight.

    Any help would be fantastic.

    Xbox doesn't have a 1440p 60FPS option; can't use 1080p or 1440p HDR on xbox

    I just tried to change it to 1440p 60hz, but it says this resolution isn't supported.

    1080p is available to me in 120hz or in 60hz

    4k is available to me in 120hz or in 60hz

    But,1440p is only available in 120hz?

    Xbox One X on the LG C9 Oled TV doesn’t use HDR for resolutions other than 4K

    I’m unable to play at 1440p with HDR, that was my goal (1440p@120Hz).

    Error on xb1x selecting 4k

    The Xbox One X supports 120hz only at 1440p and 1080p resolutions. It does not support 120hz at 4k. So unless your TV or monitor supports 1440p resolution (many don't), you will only get 1080p when selecting 120hz.
