14 day Xbox live gold redeem code working but no access to game live content

Hello,

I entered yesterday my 14 day xbox live gold trial redeem code and it allowed me to create my xbox live account.

However when I access the game lobby on Halo 4, I chose a game mode, and then it disconnects me.

Could anybody help me out?

Halo 5 Xbox One Bundle Code Doesn't Work

I recently bought the Xbox One Halo 5 bundle which is supposed to include a free download to the game as well as the console, but the code is not working. The bundle also comes with a 14 day Xbox Live Gold trial, and when I try to redeem the code, it just
says that I already have Xbox Live Gold. How can I redeem this code to download the game? Are there supposed to be two different codes?

 

Xbox One 14 Day Live Gold Trial subscription failed

I had purchased a new Xbox One last December and had also received a 14 day Live Gold Trial redeem code. However, on entering the code in the game store, the code was accepted but with an error. Eventually, I thought something went wrong and checked my subscriptions
and as suspected, there was no information about the Live Gold subscription. Could someone please help me with this.

Sorry to hear it. First, it seems that quite a few people were having trouble with the Halo servers yesterday. Hopefully that will have been resolved by now.

As for the membership a trial membership only gives some access to Live features and is usually limited to the game the code came with. Although you can play online multiplayer with a trial membership you will not be able to play any online ranked matches.
If you want to play online make sure the matches you want to play are not ranked.

 

Be aware, that some games restrict the multiplayer modes for free trial members.

For example on some games you still won't be allowed to play ranked multiplayer matches with a free membership.

Are you able to create a party and chat with friends in that party? If so, then your Gold membership trial is fine.

If Halo 4 constantly disconnects you from Live, this might also hint at a corrupted system cache.

Open the console settings and go to the storage settings.

There highlight any storage device and press Y.

Then choose to clear the system cache. Repeat that process three times.

Be aware, that after clearing the cache, and starting Halo4, the game will disconnect from Live to download an update if necessary.

After the game updated, you should be able to play.

Concerning the ranked or unranked, I do not mind playing unranked:I just want to try it out!! ;-)

 

HI! Thank you for your help. I did all you recommended: I was able to create a party and invite a guy.

So then I performed the system cache clearing three times, as you recommended. It went really quickly.

Then I went back to the game, Halo 4, wargames lobby online, was able to access it. And when I chose the game mode, it said "you seem to have lost your connection to Xbox live..."

For the 36th time ^^

 

It's been two days the microsoft "specialist" help is unavailable.

What's happening...?

Can it be linked to the Xbox live problem?

Sorry to hear about this issue affecting your gameplay. This seems to be a common issue this week with people playing and finding matches in Halo 4. If you were unable to get the game to work after preforming the previously posted troubleshooting steps,
I would suggest contacting Bungie directly and see if they have any info on what's going on with their servers.
