    So i got a new tv for Christmas and it has a native 120hz and when i go to the settings and change it to 120 i hit ok and it changes my resolution to 1440p with 120hz refresh rate but when i start a game that can run 120 it changes my resolution back to 60hz 4kuhd

    Welcome to the Xbox Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well. We understand that you are struggling to get your Xbox One X to achieve 120 hz at your desired resolution. Please take a look at the suggested steps below.

    Go to Settings > TV and Display Options (in General tab)

    Go to Advanced > Video Fidelity and Overscan. On default this setting is on auto-detect. Change from Auto-detect to HDMI, and make sure your cable supports 120 hz. Additionally, please make sure that you are using the correct HDMI for this setting - specifically the HDMI 2.0.

    You will get a screen that says, "Override your TV's recommending settings?", click "Use manual settings".

    You can now change your resolution and refresh rate to your desired settings.

    Keep in mind that the console will change its resolution to what it needs to be at in order to achieve 120 hz. Additionally, understand that certain games on the console do not support 120 hz. You may also have to go into your TV settings and manually update some refresh rates/resolutions.

    Looked it up.It's not good

    TCL 120hz

    But using memc and any advance feature will produce artifacts and if he runs at 4k 120hz it dont matter there is no vvr support on the tv

    Those are from multiple review sites not just consoles but blurays etc

    Are you sure you wanna run the ps5 or series x without vvr and artifacts @op
