Another XSX Dolby Atmos sound delay post. . .

Yeah, but you are losing the ability to play 4k 120fps games, usually I play at 4k 60fps but Ratchet on PS5 for example has 40fps compatibility mode that works only with 120hz TVs and after using the extractor this mode is unavailable.

How do I choose the right 1440p monitor for series X?

Thank you for your response, yes I understand your answer it’s down to the timings of the monitor that it work on the console. If I give you an example I’m currently looking at the LG UltraGear 27GP850-B. Am I right in saying this will be compatible at 1440p 120hz? Also the timings in the manual does it have to be exactly 120hz, I see some that are listed higher than 120hz but not 120hz exactly?

Xiaomi Monitor 27 Inc 2k 165 Hz Not Support Xbox Series x for 2k 120Hz

I can't find an in-depth specifications list for that monitor but I suspect either of the following may be the cause:

    - The monitor's native refresh rate is 60Hz and the monitor then uses the Adaptive Sync to get the 165Hz. Xboxes can't utilise that so is retricted to 60Hz

    - It has a 120Hz setting but it's not exactly 120Hz which the Xbox needs. Some monitors will be listed as having a 120Hz mode but it is actually 119Hz

It could of course be another reason but those 2 are the reasons monitors usually won't display 1440p 120Hz

    120hz Xbox one s problem

what model tv, could be supporting the input but not actually supporting 120hz mode fully.

also there is not really that much benefit from having the one s in 120hz mode especially when most of the games barely reach 30fps.

Sony xr-55A80J OLED and 4k @120hz support (Not supported)

    Hi Nursemorph,

Thanks to you I was able to get it to work at 4K with 120hz.

The issue was the guys that configured my TV had set the HDMI mode to EF(Dolby support) and that mode does not seem to support 120hz.

    > I changed the mode to Standard and it made things worse so then I changed it back to EF only and voila it worked 4k at 120hz!

Thank you all for your help with this one.

    :)
