100 Song Cap in Playlists on WP8 Xbox Music App

Hey folks. So I've been a Zune user for nearly 4 years, and a forced Xbox Music user since wp8. Anyway, I've made a few playlists on my 920 for exercising and whatnot, but I was confused because I seemed to be hearing the same songs most of the time. Turns
out no matter how large my playlist is, I only seem to be able to play the first 100 tracks.

For example, my 'Exercise' playlist has 148 songs. If I look at it in the Playlists section, it contains all 148 songs, and I can scroll thru them all (though scrolling seems to be another issue, but anyway...). But as soon as I hit that little triangle Play
icon, it jumps to the playing screen and if I look at the track list it has cut my playlist off after 100 songs (I counted). Same thing goes my another playlist I have containing 246 songs. And if I go back and remove the 100th track from the playlist, then
it seems to simply move track 101 up a spot and cuts if off there.

So I contacted official Xbox Twitter Support team, and after some back and forth they referred me to the Chat Support specialists. I chatted with Support on the Xbox website and they were able to reproduce the 100 song cap. They told me that it could be
fixed in a future update but that I should voice my opinion here and on the Uservoice site. So here I am.

FWIW, the Xbox Music app on iphone has no such cap or limit. I tried and everything works perfectly without issue. This cap is only on WP8, which I feel is nonsense, especially as a PAYING customer on a MICROSOFT platform.

Various Music Issues with 920 and Surface

Have xbox music pass and am able to download music on WP8 and Surface RT. All sync with cloud options are turned on within both. At one point music I downloaded from store on WP8 (typically after using bing to identify a song on the radio) would show up
on Surface and vice versa. However that has since stopped working and I have other various issues. I have searched all threads and the issues seem to be common, but I wanted to post mine to a single thread to see if anyone could help resolve.

Issues:

1. Songs downloaded on WP8 via music pass don't sync to Surface (yes all options are turned on within Surface to sync)

2. In an attempt to overcome the lack of ability to add a song to an existing playlist on a phone (still don't understand why that is so hard and I hate the "add to now playing" feature that nobody uses) I re-downloaded songs onto my Surface that I had already
downloaded on my WP8 and added them to the playlist. I then realized however that I had added one song to the playlist twice so I removed it. The playlist appears accurate on the Surface RT, but on the phone still shows the old playlist with the wrong number
of songs in it. I have turned off cloud sync, verified playlists aren't there on WP8, then re-enabled it, but it still shows incorrect playlist. How is this possible if it is reading from the same "cloud" that my surface is? How do I edit the cloud music
from one of those devices?

3. I download a lot of music from my phone. I love the bing music app and don't have a need for Shazam anymore at all. Problem though is that there is no way that I see to copy music from my phone to my surface since the cloud sync isn't working. Why
would I want to do that? Because I want 1 music library and not 2 and also because I like to create playlists. I used the WP8 app on the Surface RT and if you happen to remember what music you want to copy (because there is now ay in the WP8 app to filter
by songs downloaded by date) then you can select it and say "copy to PC", but the songs won't play once copied. They don't even show in the music app. They show in explorer but won't play. Ridiculous

I love my WP8 and my Surface. I love the concept of the Music Pass, but I am completely frustrated with this. I have read on multiple forums that MS is aware and is issuing an update some time in Q1, but that is a long time out for them to expect people
to be ok with it. Please help.

 

Xbox music playlist from xbox syncs to WP8 but shows 0 songs

I just got my Nokia 920 last friday and was looking forward to dumping spotify for xbox music. I signed up for the free trial on my xbox and started creating a playlist of music on my xbox. When I got my phone I could see the playlist but it shows it contains
0 songs. So how do I get my playlists song to show up on my playlist on my WP8?

 

Thanks for voicing your concern on the forums STEVE Z1SS0U. I didn't know this was a thing for the Windows Phones either. So at the very least you've educated me about this so I can relay the information to others in the future.

I do hope that Microsoft will reduce this constraint in the coming updates.
