  1. 100% High Packet Loss -- a glitch in my Xbox's software?


    Started doing multiplayer/network connection tests, receiving 100% high packet loss.

    Here's the kicker. It is inconsistent. I ran 30 tests in a row. High packet loss (100%) for 17 while 0% packet loss for the other 13 tests.

    A technician from my ISP came out and ran a bunch of tests. No issues on their end.

    I can also confirm, when I play online multiplayer, everything runs as normal as usual.

    What gives? It has to be something through Xbox's end.

    Firstly, I would like to know if your Xbox console connected via wired or wireless? If you're currently connected via wireless you may try to connect your console via wired to have a secured and strong network connection.

    Also, how many devices that are using your network connection?

    You may preform the troubleshooting steps below:



    1. Check your network connection: Make sure that your console is connected to a stable and reliable network connection. You can check your network connection by going to Settings > Network > Network settings on your console.



    2. Restart your console: Sometimes, restarting your console can help resolve network issues. To restart your console, press and hold the Xbox button on your controller, select "Restart console," and then select "Restart."



    3. Check for updates: Make sure that your console is up to date with the latest software updates. You can check for updates by going to Settings > System > Updates & downloads on your console.



    4. Check your router settings: Make sure that your router is configured correctly and that the necessary ports are open for Xbox Live. You can find the necessary ports and instructions on how to open them on the Xbox support website.
