10 year anniversary helmet code

Hello there, I was wondering if i was eligible for receiving an xbox live 10 year helmet anniversary helmet code. My account is already at its 10 year mark, and is going to be turning 11 next month. I still don't remember ever recieving a code however. Is
everyone whose account is over 10 years old awarded, or was it only select people? Thanks for your time.

Once downloaded its in the Avatar items under headgear or hats. Cant remember what its called. Oh yeah the console came last thursday also. Not sure what the requiremens were for it since 3 of the people who have been on my fl since the beta didnt get
one.

so how many years do you need xbox live to get a helmet ive only had live for a year and really hoping i get the helmet looks sweet love getting avatar stuff =)

 

Not everyone received codes for this when they were being given out. I don't believe that they are given out arbitrarily when your account reaches 10 years.

 

Ok. Is there a way to tell if I was chosen? A buddy of mine who has had his account for 10 years received a code and he told me to check my email because i more then likely had one too.The thing is, I clear out my email inbox quite often, and sometimes do
not look through all of the mail, so iI think i might have deleted it. Is there a way to see if i was chosen and somehow resend the email if i was?

 

they do not resend emails if you did get a code and deleted the email before you could use it then you lost that code sorry.

 

Ive read several peoples older threads regarding the same issue and they had their codes resent. thanks.

 

Please close this post. It turns out my brother had redeemed one one on the account a while ago and forgot to tell me! Sorry!

 

For anyone else was curious, these helmets were given out randomly to members of the community who have contributed to Xbox over the years.

 

Just to add to what has been posted already, the helmets were not given out to people who's tenure has reached 10 years, but it was given out randomly in Nov 2012 to celebrate Xbox Live's 10 year anniversary.
