Discus and support (0xc0262500) error for Xbox 360 in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I have purchased movies and TV shows on my Xbox 360 in the film&TV app which up until today, had no issue watching.     (0xc0262500) error for Xbox 360


    I have purchased movies and TV shows on my Xbox 360 in the film&TV app which up until today, had no issue watching.

    However today nothing will play. I'm getting a message that says (0xc0262500) "make sure your video cable and tv both support HDCP copy protection"

    I have restarted the app, checked for updates, and restarted my Xbox, but still get this message.

    Xbox Video on Windows 8 refuses to play video due to error 0xc00d1053 (0xc0262500)

    Hi j2inet,

    This is the problem with windows 8 the software is not updated you will have to go to settings and update the computer. the computer needs updating not the video card.

    This should work as it did on mine.

    Playback Error

    I generally don't download the videos I purchase to my Xbox 360, due to the issue of space requirement.

    I'm getting the playback error when I attempt to stream the video on the Xbox 360.

    On Windows 8 in the Xbox Video App, I was able to download all of the season no problem.

    However, I did run into an issue with the first episode again.

    When I attempted to watch the episode on Windows 8, the video was chopped into only a corner of the screen.

    It was chopped into the upper left hand corner of the screen, if you can understand what I mean.

    Only 25% of the actual picture was available.

    I shut down the app 7 restarted my PC to see if the issue persisted after a restart.

    Upon re-launching the app and trying again the issue persisted still.

    So what I did next was skipped to the end of the episode, the episode now shows as it has been viewed fully.

    Once I restarted my PC again and tried again to start the episode, this time the video didn't even start playback.

    Now I also get an error on Windows 8 for the episode, that error is as follows...

    "Can't play.

    Make sure your video cable and TV both support HDCP copy protection. Also, check with the maker of your computer's video card to see if there's an HDCP-compliant driver for it.

    This is a very strange error to appear in my opinion.

    As I've never in my past viewing on the Xbox Video app on Windows 8 had this happen.

    After that error popped for that episode, I'm now getting Can't play prompts for all of my other videos I've purchased and downloaded.

    I's a different error code for the other videos however.

    "Can't play.

    Please try again. If the problem continues, visit www.xobox.xom/support to check for guidance.
