    Hi,

    I call 7 times for this error 0x87DD0004, nobody can help me, each time the call cut, or they give me an other guy or they "forget" me on stand-by for more than 30 minutes !!!!! Crazy.

    I'm just a customer who have pay to play to gears of war 4 game and I can't play because not posible to connect to my xbox live app. I bought this game on 22 of December, 2016 and it was fine to yesterday, and now nothing !!!!!!!!

    Please heeeeeeelp, I'm on Windows 10 and not the only one to have this problem.

    Hey there - we can help get this solved. Can you PM me the date you filed the Unauthorized Access claim, the SR# regarding your claim, and the Gamertag this claim was made on?

    Problem since 7/23; nobody can help...

    So, on July 23rd I had my account hacked in to, and the account transferred to Russia. I have been back and forth with support multiple times, and have gotten misleading infromation and been basically
    told that I have been mislead, waited way too long and that nobody I can call, e-mail or chat with can do anything to get this resolved, or to assure me that I will get any kind of compensation other than 2 months of free live for the time this has taken.

    PS3 was down for a month, and I got 2 free games and an apology e-mail...and I don't pay for their service.

    Below I included one of the conversations I had over chat support....

    You are now chatting with 'Amy'.

    Amy: Hello, thank you for contacting Xbox Customer Support. My name is Amy. Please give me a moment to review your question.

    Amy: Hello Brian, I am sorry to hear that you are having such difficult issues. I'll pull up that number and see what I can see for you. If a supervisor told you that they can't do anything, I'm not sure what I can do, but I will definitely
    try.

    Brian: Thnk you for trying

    Amy: You are welcome. We can only do so much over chat, mainly hardware issues and general questions. I've done phone support.

    Amy: Ok so you had a UA that has complications and I definitely understand this would be frustrating to deal with, because you didn't do this. This happens on rare occasions and from what I remember about these it does take 90 days plus.
    Its because someone has to manually reprogram the account. Its sort of difficult to explain.

    Amy: The person who stole your account transferred it to another country. And we have to reprogram it to get it back to you. And it does take forever.

    Amy: I would have to refer you to phone support to get indepth information about this issue, but that is what I have been told about this.

    Brian: Phone support told me that this is way longer than normal for an issue to be resolved, and that I just have to continue to be patient. So far you have given me more explaination than even their supervisor.

    Amy: Well, I understand, what's why I'm trying to explain what is holding it up, this is not a normal simple UA.

    Amy: I would be upset as well, this has to go way up high to a programmer/tech person to be fixed.

    Amy: It is in queue waiting its turn.

    Brian: Is there an option to just cancel the account and give me a free year subscription; transfer the achievements or even just my friends list to the new account? This happened quickly, I can't see why there is no way
    to resolve this in any way in over two months.

    Amy: Once you start an investigation there is no way to stop it. And gamer tags are separate and there is no way that I know of to transfer the data. I could not do anything regardless because I could not access your account to verify. They
    do not want us taking personal information over the chat. That is purely for your security.

    Brian: So what I am understanding is that there is nothing anyone can do. I have to wait about 3 months before possibly getting the account back to normal. Even though I have been told by several representatives that this
    should have taken less than a month. I have been mislead and told that I should be angry, and there is nothing anyone can do.

    Amy: Unfortunately that is very accurate. Normal UA's take around 30 days. This kind does take 3 months or more from what I've been told. And that is only an estimate. It depends on the queue and how many are waiting with you.

    Amy: That's why the supervisor didn't want to give you a time frame.

    Amy: Do you have any other questions for me at all?

    Brian: Not really. It's been confirmed that I have been mislead on multiple occasions and now told that my issue can take over 3 months. Oh, and that since something got started, I can't even just scrap the account to be
    able to at least use your service.

    Amy: I understand, its a very difficult situation. I'm sure the other representatives were not aware of this type of UA. The only reason I knew is because someone else had mentioned the issue before in one of our support conversations. I
    try to learn as much as I can. I do apologize for the time that it is taking.

    There are several reasons why Xbox Live is getting error 0x87DD0004. Let us try to clear the cache and reset Microsoft Store, here are the steps below:

    1. Close Windows Store app, if it’s running.



    2. In the Start menu search box, type WSReset (Windows Store Reset) to see Wsreset in the search results.



    3. Right-click on WSReset and then click Run as administrator option. Click Yes button when you see the User Account Confirmation box.



    NOTE: If the WSReset utility is not appearing in the search result, you can launch the same from the System32 folder (Windows\System32). To open WSReset tool from System32 folder, please navigate to the drive where Windows 10 is installed (usually “C”),
    open up Windows folder, and open up System32 folder. Here, you can find WSReset.exe file. Right-click on it and then click Run as administrator option.



    4. The Store app should now automatically launch along with the Command Prompt. The Command Prompt window will automatically disappear after a couple of seconds.



    Update us if the issue persists.

    Hello, try searching for the game in the store and see if it says owned. It should give you option to download the game from there too. Nobody can outright call you for help. You can call customer support but the hold time is very long!
