0x801901f8 Why does this keep happening ?

Okay, for the last year now, whenever my games update in the background or pre download updates. It gets stuck at 100% and the following code ‘0x801901f8’ is shown. I resort to looking at these help pages (no it didn’t work why do you think I’m writing this?!?) and following guidance to try and fix this issue.

Anyways

I try to resume download after it says there’s an issue (not had this before when usually it just gets stuck at 100%)

I check network settings are correct.

I restart my console etc.

And I’m now forced to download the ENTIRE game again (in this case is a popular shooter which consists of 175.06GB)

No update progress saves, no 100%. just a big fat new update that’s the exact same size as the entire game.

This is outrageous that we’re in 2025 and Xbox still haven’t fixed these issues, you can see this for yourself if you copy and paste the error code and look at similar posts from 6-7 years ago (from the time of writing).

Please can I get some kind of actual decent support.
