0x80072EFD - Cant login to xbox game app account or microsoft account. Nothin working

However, before that, I need to ask the following questions:

Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?

Were you able to sign in with your account previously, or is this the first time you encounter this inconvenience?

Describe briefly what procedures you tried to fix this inconveniences so far?

Meanwhile, check if your system and all the apps are up-to-date.

You can check for windows updates via PC Settings > Update & Security > Windows update > click on get updates.

You can check for app updates by opening the Microsoft store.

Hello i reinstalled the windows and still have erroe but diffrent now when i turn on xbox app and go login it says we cant log you in error is : 0x80072EFD

still no joy and now I cant uninstall the app! Login as normal user and with Microsoft account.

That is very interesting. Are you able to login using the Xbox App on Windows 10? The Windows Store shouldn't have been effected by this. If you are not able to login to the Xbox App you may need to Clear your local Xbox identity data:

- Open File Explorer

- Copy/paste this directory location: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker

- Delete the Accounts and Cache folder in there (if they exist)

- Try launching the Xbox app again

If you still cant login using the Microsoft Account or still don't have access to certain things; please remove/ re-add your Microsoft Account.If you are signed into Windows with an Microsoft Account, you will need to convert your account to a local account,
remove the Microsoft Account, then re-add it.

it works on app and i cant reply idk why but i can login to microsoft and the xbox phone app but still not pc
