    0x80070520 error comes up when trying to log into my second account on XBox app


    Hi

    Finally got Forza Horizon 3 working and it requested to login to the Xbox app.

    At first it automatically selected the primary account which I don't use as it is my dads account which works fine.

    However when I try to sign into my account (the second account) it just says there's a problem and the error code 0x80070520 appears.

    I have been searching but no one seems to know how to get around it without some heavy modifications such as clean booting the computer and transferring and deleting files and accounts.

    What can I do to resolve this as I just want to play the game.

    This is my first Xbox game and using the Xbox app as I have never owned an Xbox itself.

    Xbox One Achievements won't pop...

    As in logged off your account or a hard reset of your console? Cause I did the latter and that didn't work. So maybe I'll try relogging into my account.

    Cannot Login to Xbox App - Error Code 0x409 0x8007007E

    Hi Diego

    I'm experiencing quite the same issues as PeaceMG over last 6 months, but the error code is 0x80070520 in my case.

    Once I log in to the Xbox Live App on my PC and hit the "Let's play" button, it is followed by
    "We can't sign in you right now. Try again later. 0x80070520" error message.

    I also followed recommendations as mentioned by PeaceMG as well as yours (clean boot) without any success.

    While I attempt to log in via web portals, I face no issues, but the Xbox App simply won't let me use (play) games, I paid for.

    I didn't uninstall the Xbox games because they come together with the whole system Windows 10. However, if it is possible to uninstall the Xbox App then, please, tell me how to do it and I will try to do it. Other casual games seem to be displayed correct
    information about my achievements. And when I log into the Microsoft Solitaire Collection there are sometimes errors concerning connections with internet and logging into my Xbox account. But these errors disappear when I log the second time. Then the program works
    properly.

    I haven't trie the Beta, but tried the other proposed as follows:

    - I tried to log in the Xbox app for mobile (on android phone): log-in successful

    - I tried to log in the Xbox app on another computer: log-in successful

    - I tried to create another local test user on my computer and the log in to the Xbox app: log-in successful, surpisingly

    Considering the above mentioned, I decided to:

    - switch my online account (aka Microsoft account) to local account

    - I logged out from any MS apps using my MS account (OneDrive, OneNote, Skype) and make sure these will not start, when I start Windows again

    - restarted the computer

    - logged in with local account

    - reset Xbox app to the factory settings

    - restarted the computer

    - logged in with local account

    - started the Xbox app - the behavior of the app was the same as the attempt I made on another computer or while using another local account, until I pressed the "Let's play" button

    - The issue is back: Log in window of the Xbox app error code: "0x80070520"

    Followed by status in main Xbox app: "It is not possible to log you in at the moment. Please try again later": 0x404

    Based on above observed, I would guess, there is some kind of issue with wrongly stored identification (or sort of) of my local account and my online account, resulting in failing to sign in the Xbox app.

    Any hints on how to repair this?

    Error 0x80070520 when trying to sign into the Xbox App

    Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.

    Please try these steps and check after each step. If these don't work, let me know. I will provide further troubleshooting steps.

    1. If you are able to open MS Store, open MS Store > Click on your profile picture on top right and sign-out. Then sign-in again.

    2. Try to reset the app

    Windows Key+i > Apps > Scroll down to Xbox App > Click this App > Advanced options > Reset

    3. Uninstall and Reinstall Xbox app

    A. Uninstall - Windows Key+X > Click Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the below and paste into Powershell and Enter

    Get-AppxPackage *xbox* | Remove-AppxPackage

    B. Reinstall

    Windows Key+X > Click Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the below command and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers *xbox* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    (If there is a problem in reinstall, you can always reinstall from MS Store)

    Reinstall from Microsoft Store

    4. Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

    Windows Key+X > Click Settings > Click Update & security > Click Troubleshoot > Scroll down to the bottom > Click Windows Store Apps > Click Run the Troubleshooter

    5. Reset Microsoft Store through Command Prompt

    Type cmd in Windows Search box > Right click on Command Prompt > Run As Administrator > Type WSreset.exe and click Enter > Reboot your computer

    6. Re-register All Store apps (You will get many Reds, ignore them)

    Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Restart your computer

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    7. Uninstall & Reinstall Store

    Windows Key+X > Windows Powershell (Admin) > Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage

    Copy the following from below and right click in Powershell to paste > Enter > Reboot your computer

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
