seems like we are all having this 0x800488fc error

 

Just checked in Xbox assist.....NOW there is a message saying Signing in, creating, managing or recovering an account, search are all "Limited"................i'd say not working......Limited implies some people are getting through........

Their "working"on the problem........guess it's back to the PC

My boyfriend is playing in the other room right now and he's not having any issues at all

 

What is it only Xbox One S..?? I haven't tried my black Xbox One....but it's still having issues on the S. Signs in no problem on using a Desktop as well. Fix please!

 

I managed to find another instance of this error code, with someone having problems with their account on Windows 10 two years ago. My guess is that this error code is for issues that have yet to be identified. Logging on to my Windows account on my laptop
was not an issue but Xbox LIVE is essentially locked out on my Xbox One.

EDIT: It also has nothing to do with what controller you sign in with, as I've tried both of mine with the same error.

 

Well the Xbox Live status went red, meaning that it is down, so that's fun.

I had a weird aspect ratio problem when I first tried to sign in, I thought it was all related so I did a hard reset. The aspect ratio was fixed but still got the same sign in error. Xbox live support official twitter account says
their "teams are on it." That was 30 minutes ago. It's been radio silence ever since. Twitter rumor making its way around with people saying that it won't be back up until Friday. Couldn't find the root of that little piece of intel and Xbox made no mention
of a timeline on fixing the error beyond the original tweet so I'm assuming it's the rumor mill running full steam.

 

Do you play fornite ? I do and my game did a update .was curious as to if maybe the update could be the issue

This is why I hate that everything is linked to their dumb server and they have constant access. Smh get it together microsoft

Down here in California as well. But the weird thing about this whole thing is that my husband is able to login to his account and play but it's a no go for me/

I also get this problem， really mad，think they will work out soon

 

so, I did several hard resets nothing happened, then I did a regular reset and I was able to log in ( over an hour later and too much research time) and I was able to log in. So either they fixed the issue, or a regular reset was needed
