    Same issue, followed standard reboot procedure, no affect.....

    interestingly if you search Live's error code database, this code doesn't exist.

    Guess where all waiting till someone works it out.....

    Im pretty sure everyone is having this issue right now, and im not really sure what would be causing it. According to the Microsoft website Xbox Live is still up and running with everything, so it could be anything.

    I've also noticed that this is only happening on my white xbox one, my older black xbox one signs in just fine.

    Exact same over here in Burlington, Ontario, Canada....... after 20 minutes of trial and no luck....

    it seems like the xbox server is down for the moment everyone is having the same issue and same error code 0x800488fc

    What's worse is everything goes through Live or linked to Live, so i cant play anything until it's fixed.
