After two years I finally figured this out... For me, anyway, hopefully this works for whatever lost soul has this error code, too.

I'm not at home right now so I cannot tell you what they were -- and to be honest, I'm too burned out on trying this again, so I'm just going to sit back a few days and see if MSFT will finally fix this. I've given the error codes to XBox support. As
i said, my main interest in posting here was in seeing if I'm alone with this problem and I'm satisfied that I now have the answer to this.

FWIW, I had three different error codes for the same error message "Unable to download XBox Live profile, try again later". I had another error code "Unable to Connect to XBox Live, try again later". These were the four I've been seeing since Sunday,
when the blackscreen problem morphed into this issue. If you have an idea of what this problem could be / what the error code might have been for your hunch I'd be happy to confirm. From what I remember right now, the three profile codes were something
that ended in *4cd, *041, and *051.

Possibly, I've had my dragons not burn up, and I've heard reports from others too, so that could be what's dropping.

The methods below didnt work.
