0x00d11cd Error on playing videos on Xbox One.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble playing certain videos on Apps from your Xbox One console. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Apps that are having trouble? Also can you
try and check in the external hard drives movie files to see if there is a difference in the File format from the ones that are playing to the ones that don't? You can also try removing and reapplying the files to the drive itself. Let us know with a reply

The drive is console powered, 4TB. I just tried streaming via media server from computer to Xbox and receive this error: 0xc00d36c4 when using Media Player, however, streaming will work on VLC. But the issue of plugging in the drive to play still exists.

It is very weird, as I said all files play fine on the computer, but some files will not play on the Xbox.

OK yes that is very odd It might be getting changed into a format that the video players on xbox one doesn't run that might be why it can only work on pc. I suggest moving the files to pc and reformatting the hard drive again to media side of things to
see if that fixes the issues and you don't lose any videos either

This can be a issue that happens on occasion due to the format or power issues, I have to ask if the size of the external? and if it is self powered (outlet) or console powered?.

No, I play the videos on an XBox Series X with the media player. The external SDD is connected via USB to the front USB port. There is no PC involved.
