0 gamerscore account spamming/friend requests should be a thing again.

So here recently I've been getting random notifications letting me know that someone has added me as a friend. Without any hesitation I immediately block whomever adds me without first messaging and/or contacting me first and I'll tell you why. One day
about a year ago I get this out of the blue friend notification and following it was a message. "Hey, I saw you on my suggested friends and I thought why not". My first thought was ok cool, no biggie. Further down the conversation it begins to lead to me getting
asked if I wanted to check out a "live stream" that this individual was a part of and proceeds to send me a link. First red flag goes up. I then go and check out this person's profile and see that they have nothing but a big 0 gamerscore and little to no bio.
I then block this person without saying anything more and put it behind me. The next day and a couple there after I get these brand new accounts spamming me with saying that I've been added as a friend. I've blocked each one. Now, after a while I started to
find this highly frustrating that I have little to no say on who can add me. Yesterday as a matter of fact i get one and immediately block them as well with again, no gamerscore, 981 friends and 28 followers... and today same person but different account and
still no gamerscore and 1k friends and few to no followers. I had contacted a xbox live support personnel before and all I was told to do was block them. That's it... so after saying all of this, can we please try and push for the old friend request system
where you have to have permission before adding someone as a friend? Is there a setting I dont know about to keep this kind of thing happening? Is anything even being done to keep this from happening? I dont mind blocking someone if need be but do I really
want an endless list of people that I've banned when it was totally pointless to begin with? And I feel someone will tell me "oh just go through setting and have it to where only friend can message you" so I'll ask this, does it stop those who have added you
without your consent? I'd very much like the friend request system back...

Getting added on X1/sent friend requests on X360 by 0GS randoms

Nah,the gamertags are system generated,0 Gamerscore,no games played & just sending out friends requests.

Definitely not clan recruiting.

 

Gamerscore Reset

Hello, My gamerscore got reset about one to two years ago because i got my friend to gamerscore glitch my account and so i have a lot of games that are permanently 0 and i was wondering if i can get them reset or deleted so i can get the gamerscore from
them again?

I tried deleting them from my account so i could start over but they always came back ad stayed 0

 

Don't just block them. Report them as well. That'll get the enforcement team involved to investigate the accounts.

Otherwise, there is not a way to block people from following you. You can go through privacy settings, like you said, and either block other people from seeing your activity or sending messages to hopefully cut down on some of it.

 

Thank you for taking the time to answer. That is something that hasn't crossed my mind and I will definitely start doing so. I still feel that some of these things can be avoided with a system that requires our consent before adding first though. But regardless
I will keep this in mind and hopefully soon this wont be a problem anymore.

 

That would definitely be something to suggest! Or at least make it so you have the option to toggle that for ALL friend requests. As a streamer ....it would help a lot as well lol .

Seems like this is an issues that’s flared up recently. I agree that a little more fine tuning on how requests are handled would be nice. My question is, with zero gamerscore how are these accounts being made in large quantities? Is it on the PC end?
