There’s an annoying issue—I wonder if it would be possible to add an option so that Xbox wireless headsets don’t turn on the console when the headsets themselves are powered on. Sometimes I want to use them with my computer, but they end up turning on my Xbox.

    xbox blue tooth HELP

Hey there. I assume you're talking about the official Xbox wireless headset. Have you tried the following?

The headset can’t connect to a specific controller

    Try the following:

Unplug any wired headsets from the console.

On the wireless headset, press the connect button. Lights on the wireless headset and on the controller are lit when they are connected. If the headset connects to the wrong position on the controller, press the connect button again to switch to the next
    available position.

If your headset still won’t connect, try this:

Disconnect all other accessories from the console.

    Turn off all wireless controllers:

Press and hold the Guide button on the controller for three seconds.

Confirm that you want to turn off only the controller.

Press the power button on the wireless headset.

Press the connect button on the console.

Press the connect button on the wireless headset. The lights around the console power button will spin and blink once. The position that remains lit is the position of the wireless headset.

If you want to test if the wireless headset will connect to the other positions, press the connect button again. The wireless headset connects to the next position.

My Xbox Series X headset automatically turns on my console. Does anyone know how I can avoid this?

    Hello there, Yes

In that way the console is not going to be turned on, I do the same when I want to use my wireless controller with my phone or PC.

Besides that there is no way to avoid the console to be turned on as stated in the next related article

Hi DFlopez, this is Manuela. I'm an Independent Advisor and community user like you

Which headset do you have, the Official Xbox Wireless Headset?

If that's correct, something that works for me is turning on the headset on another room where it can't turn on the console, then I start the syncing process and finally pair it with the device I want to use instead of my console

Give me a wireless headset Xbox!

My post is about wireless headset obviously. I don't need it included but I want to buty it so I have it the same day as I get the console. I have no problem paying for one but there's nothing but wired headsets as an option. I want to buy a small wireless
one similar to the 360. Again, I have no problem paying but there's no wireless headset I can find that's a small version like the 360 wireless headset. I don't want a 1970s size headset like Turtle Beach. I just want wireless for team chat. I don't need mock
surround like Turtle Beach as I have a couple thousand dollar home theater set up with receiver and 5.1 surround speakers.

    Xbox randomly turning on

    Hi J6Broadway25,

I had the same problem and i believe i found the cause. I have a Razer Thresher Ultimate headset that has a base station the plugs in to the optical out and usb on the console. If i leave my base station on with my wireless headset
off, my console will randomly turn on. If i turn off my base station, my console stays off.

I don't know if the issue is related to how wireless headsets pair with the xbox or not but i haven't had an issue since i started turning off my base station when i am done gaming.

    Hopefully this helps,

    Karen
