    Feedback on some Party Chat recording annoyances


    Currently, the way recording party audio is set up kind of annoys me and my friends, so I'd like to throw some feedback out here in the hopes that others agree.

    • When someone in the party is recording audio for their clips it causes the "(friend) is recording. Your audio is not included" toast/notification to pop up, but if everyone is recording the party audio individually, you can get spammed by multiple variations of this notification for each person recording. Personally, I don't think I need to know someone ISN'T recording my audio, but I understand why it is there. If there were a setting to disable this notification in particular that would be awesome imo.
    • If I give consent to my audio being recorded in the party and then leave and join another party later, I have to consent to it again. Having to do this everytime makes me less likely to apply this setting, so I would like if there was an option added in the settings where I ALWAYS consent to my audio being recorded if I want it.
    • There is a party crash as well if you have the record party audio setting enabled and invite someone to your party from the friends list. Here are the steps: Go to the settings and enable the record party feature > make sure you do NOT have an active party > Open your friends list > Click X on your friend to create and invite your friend to the party > there is a pretty high chance that you are not in the party anymore and your friend was just invited to an empty party. (I am in the Alpha ring and it happens roughly 80% of the time. I have already reported this with the report an issue feature.)

    That's all of the annoyances and issues I have ran into with this feature, but I love that it is finally here! If it could get expanded to discord as well in the future that would be fantastic, but I understand there is more going on behind the scenes with that and I understand. Thanks!

    Lack of voice chat options needs a fix soon

    I think they should allow the chat party limit extended as well. And some games will disallow Kinect chat on game chat making it impossible to record in game chat.

    There is no way currently to record party chat on Xbox.

    There are work-arounds to record party chat and those include but are not limited to: third party recording software, streaming on Twitch or another streaming platform.

    Im trying to capture in game voice chat when I record a clip on call od duty warzone. Im Im not in party chat and understand that game captures do not capture party chat.
