any news on when party recording will come to the beta?

A friend was recently recorded in a xbox live party without his knowledge or consent, is this legal?

It depends on what state the recording was taken from. Some states have a one party consent law when it comes to recording people without their knowledge. For instance where i live it would be perfectly legal to do the above without their consent.

This isn't new behavior. Any time a new app comes out the old one is invalidated. I had Netflix installed on my consoles. Running it after the update required I download the new app.



Party functionality for video wasn't included in the new dashboard, but it's apparently a feature in testing or beta somewhere. It will probably return in the future.

give it time, they will update the console and fix any problems in time, even with beta testing when it comes to party chat, they cant test it fully until the games that are made are complete, shouldn't be long till we get an update to fix these issues.

hey how did you use your mic in xbox app party chat in the first place? i launched "start a party (beta)" and it shows my mic, but i can't talk or hear anyone in the party chat. and my mic is the default recording device

Yes this is also happening to me. I recorded 3 game clips while I was in a party and no sound. There goes my awesome game footage. Thanks beta box... Smh
