My Xbox keeps turning back on after I have shut if off. Alpha ring latest update.

That's where I checked first. It's been turning on and off a few times overnight and everytime it shuts off after I turn it on, the resolution is changed to 480p when I turn it back on. Also, when I leave it on the profile selection screen, it doesn't shut
off. It's only after I log into a profile and change the resolution back to 1080p that it shuts off again, but it does stop shutting off after I fight with it to stay on for about half an hour. If it were an issue about overheating, it wouldn't be staying
on and I have yet to have any form of red ring on the power button for the console. The power supply is showing no signs of issues from it and all automated functions other than game updates are turned off.

Titanfall is an absolute must buy! After the alpha I'm having a hard time going back to BF4. After the alpha shut down last night I turned BF4 on and quit halfway through the match. Decided to watch some TV to withdraw my TF experience.

Sounds like you are in the Xbox Insider Preview program. As a similar issue started after the latest update. Try doing a factory reset by pressing and holding the power button till the console is shut down. Press and hold both eject and bind (keep
them pressed) then press power button and wait for second power up chime. Release buttons and from troubleshooting menu select reset console, then reset keeping all games and apps.

This is exactly what i ended up doing late last night and it appears to have worked.

We Beta ring insiders don't wait that long to get updates after Alpha ring. Just keep giving good feedback about bugs and features, and I'm sure you'll be invited soon.

This has been a known issue for a while now and acknowledged by the Xbox Preview team and were testing a fix for this issue in the Alpha ring back in December. Since then, there has been no updates but based on this

article I'm assuming the issue was resolved in the Alpha ring preview update but doesn't seem to have gone live yet. There could have been some setbacks or the issue re-surfaced.

This was being tested in the Alpha ring, which is the first ring to test preview updates and requires an invitation to join, and has preview updates with the potential to have the most bugs so it's possible it's stalled in the Alpha ring.

My suggestion is to report the issue through the Xbox Insider Hub app, which you can do so by the report a problem option in the power menu after you have the app downloaded.

If you join the Insider program, eventually it should get pushed to the other preview rings and you can get the fix in an upcoming preview update before it would go live.
