    I went through all of my Xbox One games to see which of them worked. The first game I tried was CoD WWII cause that’s my go to daily CoD game has been for a while, so I updated my Xbox since I was already an Xbox Insider for 9 years and had the Alpha Build for a while now, I throw in WWII and it gave me the pop up saying “Get digital license?” I pressed claim and it unlocked the license so I went to test it out without the disc and it actually worked. From what I’ve been told there are more games being added to the new feature and this has to be the best Xbox update to ever exist.

    This has to do with DRM or digital rights management. If you have the disc this is your proof of ownership. With the disc in their possession anyone can play the game it shows ownership. But only the one person with the disc can play at one time. With
    digital media it is different, the account that purchased the digital media is the owner. In some circumstances (Home Xbox) it can be shared but it can never be transferred to another account. Make sure the disc is a valid working disc for the Xbox one.

    Do physical and digital copies read the same data?

    With physical media like discs they take time to read the disc and hdd, as digital media only reads the hdd.
