Why can’t I still not access the disc-to-digital feature?

Why? If they made the family sharing all digital, no discs at all, and required all parties to be online to access sharing features, why wouldn't they be able to do it? There is no difference now between a digital copy of the game under this plan and a digital
copy of the game under the old one. None. And any DRM necessary for it could be met by imposing an online requirement specifically for that feature.

Either they could never do what everyone was led to believe, or they are removing it as a strike back at their consumer base, or they couldn't do it yet and they might in the future.

There was no indication of Microsoft dropping the price of digital copies anyway. So it doesnt really matter what you were/are willing to pay.

(GROANS) I was still buying disc before the change and had ordered my X1 because i was glad that the disc never had to be in the drive after the initial install ever again.And i could still have sharing, access my games anywhere on any console and i could
do this by still paying cheaper retail disc prices. Now if i want a discless console with those features i have to buy digital which as it stands is more expensive than the disc version.

The game was originally purchased as a disc but the dlcs were bought on the 360 marketplace. I have both digital and physical copies of this game and I can’t access my dlcs either way

From memory, in the digital store I think it is clearer as to what features it has. Not sure why the physical discs aren't the same.

Are you 100% sure that buying the digital wouldn’t work because I have the same issue but it seems more of an issue with the xbox not recognizing the disc is there so if you but the digital it should work right? And even if you are still stuck in trial
mode can’t you still remove it since you have a digital copy and can just remove the licensing?
