    My Xbox series s is not working.


    Hey everyone,

    I bought a pre-owned Xbox Series S in 2025, and after only about two months of use, it stopped working.

    The issue started when I pressed the Xbox button. It turned on white as usual, but after about a second before anything appeared on the screen it shut off with a ticking sound coming from inside the console.

    I tried restarting it, and it. turned on normally, but after around 10 seconds, the screen went blank again. When I pressed the Xbox button, it made the usual startup sound, the button turned white, and then the console shut off again after about 2 seconds with the same ticking sound. This kept repeating.

    I gave it to a repair technician. According to him, the initial diagnosis showed E006 and two E091 errors, as shown in the attached images.

    He then replaced the U57 IC (MP2855). However, after replacing the IC, the console started showing five E046 errors instead.

    It has now been around six months, and he is still trying to repair it.

    At this point, I'm honestly wondering whether he actually knows what he's doing, or if we're just going in circles.

    Can anyone here help me pinpoint what might be causing the issue? Also, if anyone has experience repairing Xbox Series S motherboards, what questions should I ask the repair technician to understand exactly what he has diagnosed and what he is doing?

    I've attached the detailed error info below. Error before replacing ic mp2855 SMC (1): E006 [SMC_FATAL_CPUGFX]

    Low priority: VREG_PWRGPAB_CPUGFX_PWRGD missing/timout: Check shorts on V_DRAM1P8, V_SOC1P8, V_SOCPHY. U480, U402, U400, U129 and U57 drive this signal low when a fault is detected.

    SMC (1): E091 [SMC_FATAL_POWERS1]

    V_GFXCORE powerrail Error, V_GFXCORE is low resistance, dont confuse with short!. Check R252(12v/0,7v), R253(0,7v/GND) voltage. if 12v missing on R252, make jumper wire for 12v. if 0,7v missing, replace R252, R253, C395. If 0,7v okay: Replace U41, U52, U46, U408, corrosion or defective surrounding resistors? check, replace U57

    V_GFXCORE powerrail Error, V_GFXCORE is low resistance, dont confuse with short!.     Controller suddenly stopped working. Lights up when plugged in, tried multiple cables. Does not show up under device manager.

    My controller stop working too series x , factory controller .     There's no such thing as an Xbox One Series S. There's an Xbox One S and an Xbox Series S. That game is only available for the Series S/X, not the One. So if you have a One S, it will not work.
