    Xbox needs to bring back dashboard themes - ASAP


    I’m well aware of the current dynamic Xbox background themes you can select on Series S / X but if anything I think the selection is lackluster, and Xbox would do really well if they brought back dashboard themes that are available either for purchase or by unlocking them
    In games.

    I spent a decent amount of $$$ on themes/gamerpics for 360, so like talk about backwards compatibility - why can’t I use these themes on my Series or One? (This seems like a giant missed opportunity for Xbox to pass this up)

    I also know you can use a custom picture, but its pretty limited when that dynamic themes are possible (Just imagine people are able to upload a short gif of kissing their significant other - it’d say goodbye to the gamer dealing with an angry gf for playing xbox or make receiving their xbox that much more sentimental).

    If Xbox / Microsoft is reading this - pls bring back dashboard themes - it’s only a win-win for all parties involved.

    Also if it comes down to a UI concern Xbox could easily provide an update that allows users to switch between dashboard styles - allow users to pick from the modern tiles UI, Blades, OG Xbox dashboard, etc. (NXE to me is the best dashboard of all time - so much that i went out of my way to buy a second hand Xbox 360 that was still on NXE)

    10 Things I would like to see added.

    I request the following new Xbox One console abilities and features also to be added ASAP also Microsoft:>>> 1. A recent players list.

    2. Battery bar for controller

    3. Ability to see how much hard drive space you have free.

    4. Ability for kenict to recognize your voice only.

    5. Bring back family shearing ASAP.

    6. Ability to set background themes like on Xbox 360.

    7. Add gamer pictures and themes to the marketplace.

    8. Add really cool gamer pictures and themes for free at times (Like in the early days of Xbox 360)

    9. A setting/ability to change to a Xbox 360 style dashboard for those who don't like Windows 8. (One that still works with kenict)

    10. External hard drive support ASAP with the ability to support at least 2Terabyte external hard drive.

    Just a few things I have noticed for now. I'll update this post if I come up with more.

    Also,the way Xbox one dashboard is set,there isn't much empty space.Maybe for a stamp but not a theme.

    Some advertisements can be a little irrating, like them advertising BT Broadband or something with the advertisements that load up presenting a random square tab with the circle motion and then a blurry and pixelated image when
    you hit the Dashboard.

    Being in the UK, the UK Dashboard is not so bad. I just wish they would clean up the video section by reducing the square tabs. When there are advertisements for Kinect Fun Labs or Gears of War and such,
    AKA placeholders for upcoming advertisements, then it does look a bit better.

    What I think Microsoft need to do is too produce and tell developers to produce better themes. Not only that but bring in Animated Themes for our favourite games. For example have a face of Ezio from Assassin's Creed at the side of the dashboard like you see
    in Sales tabs etc and have the Animus DNA thing swirling across the top of the dashboard.

    There is also an Animated Dashboard Theme when you first sign up to Xbox LIVE. Themes like that would be brilliant and make the Dashboard look less hard and robust with the default grey background and not very good Premium Themes. Owning a Windows Phone HTC
    HD7 and an Xbox 360 it is nice that it has a similair "dashboard". I just wish we could customize the Metro UI of the Xbox LIVE Dashboard and change the colours of tabs, that plus animated themes would be brilliant.
