    There has been alot of people this week talking about having problems with messages. Mostly not being able to send or receive them. The problem should clear up this weekend.

    Had that for more than a few weeks on the Xbox Beta app as well as the console. For my console, I just went back into notifications and it disappeared (huzzah). For the Beta app, it's been on-off. Going into a notification or two, clicking refresh, clearing
    cache... It hasn't been as prevalent a problem now, because it's behaving itself.

    I have had that happen, and usually it fixes itself within a day or two. I just assume its part of the extra server load lately. :p

    Still having the issue. I'm going to go ahead and assume this is a problem with the latest update. I can't even mark messages as read.

    A couple other points:



    - You can't move the update around on the console. The system update sits in a section of the USB flash drive that the 360 cannot read from Settings, System, Storage.



    - Booting a console with no storage device attached elicits an update request message. The message is wrong. There's no update. The latest version of the dashboard is 2.0.16202.0, which dates from November 27th. Once that's installed, you'll get the message
    only if there's no storage device attached to the console.
