Permanent directional input in UI

Upon reading the description you have posted, it seems that you have an issue with Xbox wherein even after trying to factory reset your Xbox series X console you are still getting an Input delay since the UI update.



Common cause: Using a wireless controller can result in input lag due to interference from other wireless devices in your home. This can apply to smartphones, microwaves, and other gaming equipment. TV Setup: Input lag can be brought on by improper TV setup. Ensure that "game mode" or another input lag-reducing setting is selected on your TV.

Let’s work together in finding the best solution to this issue.



For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

• What other initial troubleshooting steps have you already tried so far?

• Have you already tried to use a spare controller and checked if it has the same behavior?

• Have you already checked that your controllers battery is full?

• Are you in an area where there is no other wireless devices that are turned on such as other wireless gaming devices or your mobile phone?





In the meantime, we would like you to try the steps on how to fix input lags on your Xbox console:

1. Input lag may be brought on by a defective or out-of-date controller. To determine if the problem continues, try using a different controller



2. TV Settings: Verify that Game Mode is turned on in your TV's settings. This option turns off some of your TV's post-processing functions, which might lessen input lag.



3. Go to your Xbox settings and choose Devices & accessories to access the controller settings. Accessories. Select Configure after choosing your controller. The stick sensitivity, vibration, and other parameters can all be customized here.



4. Network Configuration: If you're playing online games, be sure your network configuration is suitable for gaming. Checking your network connection's stability and your NAT type will help you do this.

I'm just going to change inputs with my Xbox One, I cba with the tv functionality, it still has the ugly TV Box UI when you change channel, it doesn't eradicate that.

Thanks for the sympathy, Sauzeeg. Lol.

I wish they would at least add some settings in the UI to be able to manage the mic volume/detection levels. Plenty of applications that handle mic input have that capability.

the UI is easier navigated by voice commands... None of this go home, open apps direct to SyFy App, click it... Xbox go to Syfy.. SO MUCH EASIER

but to each their own I guess
