Hi there. First you should try the steps that TMX boxburn recommends. If your Xbox has trouble reading the resolution and other settings of your monitor, you should try to find the resolution of your monitor by looking at the monitor menu or reading its
documentation. Currently, the Xbox 360 supports a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. You should set the Xbox resolution to the closest setting to your monitor, but don't set a higher resolution than the monitor.

2k with 120hz XBOX ONE X not working with HP X27i

because that monitor supports 144hz but does not have 120hz as an option in the monitor edid for that resolution, pc can set manual resolutions, xbox cant and the monitor has to support or state it can do 120hz at 1440p in the edid for the xbox to use it.

    Xbox one X at 1440p?

    Hi,

Sorry, I think you've become confused by the monitor specification. This monitor is
not a 1440P monitor. The '1440' in this monitor spec refers to the vertical resolution of the screen, but the horizontal resolution is 3440.

This means your monitor's maximum resolution is 3440x1440. This is an Ultra-Wide 21.9 display. Unfortunately the Xbox One X does not support ultra wide monitors and as a true 1440P display uses a 16.9 aspect ratio, it won't fit correctly. It works on your
PC because your PCs graphics card supports these resolutions, the Xbox One X does not.

    I hope that makes sense.

Help Connecting Xbox 360 to Computer Monitor

use a HDMI cable connect the xbox to the monitor.

You can also use a HDMI to DVI cable as well.

Go into your console settings menu on the Xbox 360 to switch resolutions. The Xbox 360 uses 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p resolutions. If the monitor is not compatible with all resolutions, switch your Xbox 360's resolution to one that is compatible
with your monitor's capabilities. use the audio out on your Xbox 360 to connect to a stereo or other source for sound.

Does Xbox One S support HDR without 4K Res?

    Hello,

Thank you. This helped but it doesn't answer my question. Will I receive the benefits of an HDR monitor without it being capable of 4K resolution?
