Microsoft Store (international gifts)

Hi Aleksandr,

Is your billing address on the Microsoft account the same as what your billing address for the card being used? Have you used this card before or first time using it on the Microsoft Store? What is the item that you are trying to purchase?

Make sure you are putting in the correct zip/postal code where provided and the region is correctly selected.

although console is region free, the store is not. that is, if the game is physical or international code will suit you on any xbox. if it is purchased as a gift can only be redeemed in the store of that country and with connection in that country

This also a link to a sweepstakes they had earlier this year. Hopefully whoever won was able to redeem their gift card before this decision.

You're welcome. Sucks that it couldn't be used as intended, but at least it's getting some use.

I just bought a Canadian friend a game via the marketplace buy as a gift option. Maybe you can get them a game instead (just a thought). Also there was an option on the 360 to gift money to friends but not sure if the option is still there. If you have a
360 maybe you could go that route.
