Is there any purpose to leveling up?

The main purpose of Legendary skills isn't improving the skill, it allows for continuing to level.

Before you would max out at level 81 because of how the leveling system works, now you can level and level all you want. Take any easy to level skill, regardless of any perks, and just level the bleep out of it.

They do come up as the last player you've met, and you can set them to avoid, but no one is sure if it actually does anything.

If someone uses a save editor to make a character that is fair, then I'm not too worried about it either. If someone beats NG+ and then lowers their level so that they can invade lower levels, then that's a big problem.

Lastly, I've said many times that there's nothing inately wrong with invading. There's also no specific purpose to any of the covenants, so basing your actions on the "purpose of the covenant" is wrong-headed. Also, you can cut out the bravado. No one
is impressed.

Have you cleared your cache at all?



If you clear your cache and go into multiplayer at any point without updating I think you reset your level. I did it once, purposely.

(1) I absolutely despise RPG games that always make the enemies the same level as the player. It defeats the entire purpose of leveling up and getting better equipment.

(2) I absolutely despise crafting in games because it is such a pain in the rear to collect the materials.
