I cant get my nat type from univailable to open

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. To set your NAT Type to open, you would need to connect your console directly to your modem instead of a router. This is not recommended, as it's less secure than a moderate NAT type and provides no additional benefits over moderate NAT type.

These ports must be open to connect to the Xbox network:

Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)
Port 500 (UDP)
Port 3544 (UDP)
Port 4500 (UDP)

Please make sure these ports are forwarded to your Xbox console in your router settings. You'll also need your Xbox's IP address, to set up a static IP and forward the ports to it:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
Select Advanced settings. Your console's IP address will be listed on the screen.

For help with setting a static IP for your Xbox and port forwarding, contact your internet provider.

My Xbox console says Open NAT type, but i cant find any description of a NAT type on my PC or my phone

Ive got my NAT type open but i cant play multiplayer

My nat type is always open, that’s the first thing I do when I get on my console is set my nat type to open.

When i play halo and im in a party chat with my boy, while we are searching i get that same message and i cant hear anything hes saying and he cant hear me...my nat type is open as well
