zunes have stopped working, won't power on when connected to computer

Unfortunately most of the support has gone away. Not sure there is anywhere to take them anymore.

right reboot the computer with the zune plugged in, when rebooted, unplug zune cable and replug it in to get the zune software to recognize it. then just update through the zune software only and it should work, i had same problem and called tec support
and thats what he said to do worked great

Thanks for the detailed information about your Zune software issue. On your Windows 7 machine, have you ever stopped any of the "services" or changed any of their settings from Services in your Control Panel? I ask, because the software installs OK.



We do also have a support page for that specific error titled,
Error message "Microsoft Zune has stopped working" when you try to download from Zune Marketplace. I know that the title doesn't completely jive with your issue, but there may be steps there worth noting, particularly the anti-virus info there.

Try uninstalling Zune, and reinstalling it, then reset up the share option. Remember to have the 360 switched on when you do. Might not help, but has worked for me in the past when if stopped working.

Deleting the app won't automatically stop the charge. You would need to contact Zune support to cancel the subscription.
