Zoo Tycoon Zoo Limit

We bought the Zoo Tycoon game for our daughter for the XBox 360 system. We have started playing today, and decided to try Free Mode after using the tutorial to get acclimated to the controls and systems. After only a few hours, we have found that we can
no longer build any additional things in our zoo - or even adopt new animals for the exhibits we have, and we have barely used 1/4 of the available building space. According to the in-game guide, Free Mode should have no limits and allow us to build our zoo
the way we want. It is very disappointing to come to an impasse in a game we have found to be a very enjoyable way to spend some family time together after only a matter of a few hours of play time.

Is there any update available to this game that removes this apparently artificial limit that will allow us to continue to build out our zoo to the fullest extent of the available building space?

Improvements to Zoo Tycoon

1. Add DAY AND NIGHT CYCLES (I've played Zoo Tycoon 2 PC version, it would be super fun having a night life in Zoo Tycoon. In real-world, certain zoo's have after hours animal enclosure activities like Auckland Zoo and Taronga Zoo Sydney Australia). 2. Increase
the limits in Zoo Tycoon. Especially for peps trying to build a big zoo in Freeform mode.

Sorry to hear you're unsatisfied with the limit. As this is an in game issue your best bet would be to contact the game developers to see if they're willing to increase the size.

 

Idk but I am in the same boat. Spending 64 bucks and not getting enough game play is really getting to me. They have this huge space but u can't even use it all. I hope there is a update. I am on my 4th different zoo.in only 2 days.

 

I completely agree with both of you on this one. I hate that there's a limit on how big I can make my zoo. Plus, the title is Zoo Tycoon which implies that you should be able to make your zoo as big as you want it as long as you can manage it. I mean,
isn't that the whole point of giving it such a title? They need to create an update that abolishes the zoo limit, at the very least.

 

To build more things you need to research animals and other buildings. There is a set amount of space in the game area but if you see you cannot build new buildings try to research new ones and then place them after it is done.

Or you can delete small venues and upgrade to bigger ones for your animals.

 

We are well aware of the need to research to unlock addition things to add to the zoo. We are also aware that we can delete things in order to build other things in the zoo. The problem is the hard limit that, once reached, prevents you from building anything
else without deleting something you have already built. What is the point of having such a large building space when only 25-30% of it can actually be used to build?

There were no such limits in the PC version of the game - and in fact in that version you can build a zoo using every single thing unlocked in the game, until your entire building area was completely filled. In this console version, it kind of makes unlocking
additional things pointless since you won't be able to build them in your zoo once the limit is reached anyway.

My name is Jacob [Mod Removed] and have become very aggravated at you guys. Me and my son love the pc game zoo tycoon. We have been playing it for years. My son discovered you guys released a zoo tycoon for xbox one a few years back and
has been begging me to get it. So after saving up the money for the past few months and hearing the constant begging for the game, I went out and bought the xbox one and the zoo tycoon game. It made him very happy to come home from school and see it sitting
in front of the tv. He made me set it up that minute. We started playing and after just a few hours we maxed the zoo limit out. Literally only a few exhibits, few animal species, and a very small zoo compared to the map we were givin. I am very displeased
at this flaw you guys included in the game. Im not sure whether to blame you or Frontier Developments for this stupid idea. The reason I am contacting you is not because of my disappointment but my sons. Seeing him so happy to get it and then for his heart
to break after only a few hours is horrible. He cried when I told him he could not build onto his zoo anymore. So I am contacting both you and or Frontier Development to see if there is any thing yall have done to improve this or if yall are working on it
or will work on it. I have read tons of forums with hundreds of reviews and people wanting the same thing to be fixed. It cant be that hard. So please make your customers happy and fix this. Please fix this or call me and talk to my heartbroken son. Please
