Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Animal Collection: Tidiness Glitch

Hi! I'm experiencing an annoying bug in Zoo Tycoon. I'm in challenge mode, playing on the Rocky Mountain zoo, and recently my janitors went on strike. Of course my tidiness went down and I saw my visitor count suffer because of it. I waited them out for
a bit, payed them the highest amount you could to immediately stop the strike, and it seemingly ended. Only problem is my janitors didn't go back to work. It's like they're still on strike somehow. My tidiness has recently dropped to the lowest point it could
possibly reach and hasn't gone up in the slightest. I've tried getting rid of all the janitors stations and replacing them, firing everyone I had and re-hiring but it did nothing, the tidiness still remained at zero. Additionally they went on strike again
once I had them, and I payed the highest amount instantly thinking it would fix the bug and somehow the game's code would put through that they should start working again, but still, nothing. Sadly I don't have a save file before the bug happened, but it'd
be nice to fix as my visitor count is dropping well below what it was before. They worked perfectly fine before hand and my tidiness was always in the green. Anything that could help fix this would be greatly appreciated asap. I want to keep playing but it's
really hard when a zoo you love to play on keeps suffering. Thanks!

Do I NEED to have an xbox?

That's an odd occurrence. Have you already tried things such as purchasing a new janitor's building, placing more trash cans, and manually picking up the animal poop?

Did that help or is the janitor's strike issue still occurring in your favorite zoo?

 

The janitors are buggy as a rule in Zoo Tycoon, so I avoid hiring them. Instead, you can customize the zoo using the global option and remove all trash cans. Then go to one exhibit that you can easily remember, and customize that to add the trash cans back
in. I usually pick one of the bigger food concessions. Every 2-4 minutes (it depends on the size of your zoo) you can manually empty the trash cans by walking up to them and pressing X. That will keep your tidiness at max green.

Another approach that can help is set the admission price to free. This lowers the need for tidiness of your guests, so you can have more trash in the zoo without dropping out of the green tidiness zone.
