Zoo Tycoon Ultimate Animal Collection on PC crashes on startup after a few plays.

Hi,

I recently bought Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection for my Windows 10 desktop. I enjoy the game, but sadly after a while the game just doesn't want to start anymore and quits to desktop after showing the game window (implying that it doesn't even get past
launch).

My version of Windows is completely up to date, drivers have all been installed and this is the only Microsoft Store game with which I am experiencing this problem at the moment. I get no crash report at all and found nothing on the web to make this gem of
a game work again, so I'm wondering if you guys can come up with some kind of solution.

Here are my specifications:

Windows 10 Home Edition, version 1709, build 16299.214 (64-bit)

Intel Core i7 4790 running at 4.00 Ghz (stock clock)

16,0 GB 1333 mhz DDR3 Ram (2x8)

Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB VRAM)

Do I NEED to have an xbox?

Hey Smileskybird, I know you love Zoo Tycoon. Did you hear about the ultimate animal collection with 4K, HDR and new animals exclusive to Australia and South America.

Have you tried a reinstall of the game as the game files may be corrupt?

 

Reinstalling is the only thing that 'helps', but only for a while. It can't be that the game database gets corrupted every time after merely playing the game for a couple of minutes for maybe 2-5 times?
