This is a very frustrating gget it together Microsoft a lot of people like youtude!!

Hi-

When launching the YouTube app for the first time or not being signed in all your progress
saved videos liked videos any of that will not be able to save to you're profile that u use all the time on YouTube to make this connection happen u should go to your dashboard after first preforming a soft reset
just power off your console unplug the power cord wait almost 120 to 130 seconds re plug the power cord and restart your system and run a network test to make sure everything is okay with your connection in the YouTube app when
it opens press left on the T or plus shaped control button on your controller and there should be a window that slides to the side in this window scroll down to settings and click it you should be taken to another
window which will display your account that is either currently signed or
no account is signed in go ahead and enter your account information into the sign in option after doing that it should resolve the issue if there is another's account signed in at the time sign out and sign into your account
to gain access to YouTube as you where viewing it on any other media device also next to the sign in mode the link your phone and tablet feature is available where u can control the youtube app from your phone which
can be unlinked at anytime the Xbox built in controls are great as well but it is your choice
for the best experience possible I hope this has helped to
