    The problem is that when turning on the application, an error is shown that the application is currently unavailable, if I log out of the xbox live account and try to turn on the application, it shows, "optional multimedia update required", I downloaded again and still nothing downloaded again YouTube still it I reset the xbox to factory settings by myself and installed everything again and it worked only once now again all the time I have a message to download the update although I downloaded it what is the problem?

    are you sure your xbox is connected to the internet? And does your account has xbox live gold?

    Check if you can access the website using the internet explorer app, if you can, then at least you can still use youtube on the console. It's possible that Google has retired the Xbox 360 youtube app, and if that is the case then it will no longer work.
    Have a look on the youtube support site, they might have more info about this issue for you.

    Having checked the youtube support site, they state this:

    "If you see the error message “YouTube isn’t available right now,” it may be because your internet connection is slow."

    Below are some tips to help solve the problem:

    • Check or reset your internet connection.
    • Contact your ISP to increase your internet speed.
    • Restart your Xbox.
    • Restart the YouTube app.

    It actually does work better on a PC, a lot of videos have phone/TV app sharing turned off.



    Hopefully MS has a work-around, and youtube just sees the 360 as a windows pc.
