YouTube Random Volume Bar

Ok so this won't fix it but it's a way to control it. If you have a smartphone get the YouTube app and connect it to your xboxs YouTube and from in the phones youtube app you can control that volume bar with the volume buttons on the side of your phone.
This is the only way I've found that works so I guess we will have to do this until a fix comes out.

 

Yea I noticed this last night. With mine if I use L1 or R1 to change the video the volume goes down. No button combination will get it back up though. Very frustrating. I will try the smartphone thing though to see if that helps.

 

i also found this out by chance as there is an achievement for pairing your smart device and when i did this i found out there was a dedicated volume slider on the youtube app

i think this app needs to remove the volume switch from xbox one and just have it as a dedicated thing for smart devices

Just to elaborate on it:

Based on what we've found the volume bar is meant for when the Youtube app is paired with a device, such as a smart phone, tablet or computer. It is the onscreen representation of the volume change from those devices. If the customer has had the volume level
go to Zero and not come up again it was found that if you return Home from the App and then select “Quit”, upon returning to the App the volume is restored to the Default level.

Upon discovering it, we did bring it up to the attention of the engineers so we can get that tweaked to make the purpose of it more obvious and disable the ability to control it with the Xbox One controller.
