YouTube is broken on Microsoft Edge... For months

From my experience, the only issue with Youtube.com in Microsoft Edge on my Xbox One is that it's a little slow and it seems to struggle loading all the thumbnails. Here's an example:

In regards to the app not allowing people to read or make comments, I'm assuming that's just the way Youtube designed the app since that's how it is on other consoles.

There is an alternative to the Youtube app though. It's called mytube. It will allow you to view and leave comments; however, that app is not free and it's not perfect either.

yea i don't understand, i don't have pictures on the videos and since i upgraded to the new version its slow like dialup and thats super annoying that i can't watch videos without some issue.

It is not a YouTube issue and you are just passing the buck. That is really sad. If you are telling me the edge browser is working perfectly fine on you're xbox one, I will call you a liar.

YouTube is not responsible for Microsoft's negligence. If youtube decides to update and Microsoft is still running on an old system that does not make it compatible with YouTube's recent updates, well that's not YouTube's fault. That would be microsoft not
doing their due diligence to make sure it works properly after the updates.

You say it's youtube fault. What facts and evidence do you rely on to back up that ridiculous claim? Because the burden is on you to back that up now that you said it. Now remember I can claim I drive a maybach, but unless I show you the car, its doesn't
even mean i drive.

Again. This would be a Youtube issue. You should reach out to them and see what they suggest as troubleshooting. There could be other factors at play as well. Are you in the insider program? Have you updated your console recently or searched precarious sites?
Internet speeds etc etc.

ngocphil I love how the one thing I asked hey please don't pull a oh the app is so much better line and low and behold first comment by an ambassador is exactly that... Ok why would I use Microsoft Edge instead of the YouTube app, the app lacks basic functions
of YouTube such as a comment system which is a fundamental part of YouTube that's like taking the party system and voice chat off Xbox, also it's janky and search results are skewed there are restrictions I could go on and on but look it's a altered less functional/optimal
version of YouTube. On edge it's convenient bouncing from tabs one moment I'm watching YouTube the next I'm on Facebook or Wikipedia or Google without having to switch apps it's honestly way better or it was atleast. I fixed the YouTube app problem it had
a popup that needed permission for all my xbox information which was sketchy and the last time I had that type of popup it made me use my password which I forgot last time because my memory is
[Mod removed- inappropriate] and I was locked out of my account due to a error anyways I just internally said
[Mod removed- inappropriate] and thankfully this time no password still sketch though. Look man I just wanted to do my thing I shouldn't have to use an app to go on YouTube even on the 360 YouTube worked on the browser and better this issue
shouldn't be pushed under the rug with alternatives it's been months and no resolution heck Facebook barely even works on edge I know you are an ambassador it's not like you are tech support for Microsoft so I'm not trying to push this problem on you or lash
out at you I'm just frustrated about this situation and in a way this post was more of a vent at the incompetence of Microsoft when it comes to maintenance on Microsoft Edge on the Xbox. Also LegoNinja187 I get what your saying I just like to do everything
all in one on my TV without draining my phone anymore than I need to.
