youtube crashes on xbox one s

my youtube crashes as soon as i open it, im on xbox one s, and stuck at home with not much to do, so i try to watch some youtube but the app crashes on launch, any fixes?

i got the same problem with the xbox one s..keeps crashing after switching between apps and games...mostly when i'm useing or have used youtube and then go back to game its crashes 99% of the time...but not only with youtube but its the most common

Are you getting any error codes/messages when this happens?

Here are some things you could try:

- Check for pending Youtube updates.

Go to My games & apps > Youtube > Manage app > Updates.

- Check for pending system updates.

Go to Settings > System > Updates.

- Power cycle your console and restart your internet device.

Press and hold the console's power button until it shuts down, then unplug its power cord for 3 minutes. Turn your modem/router off and unplug it for a minute.

- Reinstall the Youtube app

Go to My games & apps > Youtube > Uninstall, then install it again from the console's store.

- If Youtube is installed on an external storage unit, try moving/reinstalling it to the console's internal storage.

- You could also try a soft factory reset by going to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset console > Keep games and apps.

Note: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.
