YouTube App - What the?!!! New bug. So annoying.

i use the YouTube app almost daily. Generally I will find a channel I subscribe to so I can view the latest videos. The easiest way of doing this is navigating to the 'Uploads' row of videos. You then see the latest video and can scroll to the right to see
previous uploads.

In the last 48 hours, a new bug has appeared. You used to be able to scroll back through ALL previous uploads. As of right now though, it only shows the first 8-10 videos. This is incredibly annoying as now there's now way to see latest uploads all in once
place. It's even more annoying if the user sorts the videos into playlists other than days, as it then means videos are all over the place and I have no way of knowing if I've missed something new.

is this a purposeful update to the app (I really hope not), or is this a bug? If so, is a fix coming anytime soon? It has essentially ruined my ability to use YouTube on the Xbox one in the way i've enjoyed for the previous years. Really annoying!

I agree I love the new setup less clutter for sure! Those ads can get annoying but some of them are funny whats annoying is the ads you cant skip and theyre like 30 seconds or longer.

I've been having major issues with YouTube freezing at random times when playing a vid.

Also streaming films from the market place are unwatchable as they constantly do the same thing. The Twitch app does the same. I haven't done a huge amount of online gaming yet though.

The only way I can get them to resume is to go to settings and check the network connection, go back to the app and they usually resume. Then freeze again at a random interval.

I've played with all the settings on my router (BT home hub 4, 40mbs download speed), added the Xbox One to the DMZ and it hasn't made a bit of difference.

As an experiment, before ringing Microsoft, last night I tried a wired connection through a wifi extender that I use elsewhere in the house. Worked flawlessly.

So unless anyone has other suggestions, it appears to me that my Xbox 's wifi has an intermittent fault. In two minds how to deal with this. Trying to get a repair or replacement prior to Xmas may be difficult, or do I go and buy some decent home plugs.
I was so annoyed that I reordered a PS4 yesterday. Won't get that for Xmas either

 

I hope they fix it soon, I have several older videos I like to rewatch and I cannot see them on the playlist anymore.

 

It also does it with all the created playlists. So when I go looking for help on youtube I can't see all the playlists people have made. I have been having to use my computer to look up stuff because it is getting to the point where I can no longer rely
on the Xboxone to help. I have noticed the Xbox 360 doesn't seem to have this problem or at least it didn't when I was using it 2 days ago instead of the Xboxone.

 

I didn't even realise it was doing it with playlists too. So frustrating. It seems then, that unless the video you want to watch, or playlist you want to access is in that 'recent listing limit' which is now happening, there's no way to view it unless you
already knew what it was called and you specifically type it in. No way to access old videos at all, which if the account uploads one or more videos a day, means that's LOTS of videos that can't be browsed.

Support, please advise?!

Unfortunately this sounds like an issue from within the app. Have you by chance reached out to YouTube in regards to this issue? If you haven't already I recommend giving a re-install a try to see if there is any change with performance inside the app.

 

I'm having problems with this app too and it all started today 6/7/2016. I did not see an update or was asked if I wanted to update this app. My xb1 is set up to not allow any automatic updates for the system or any thing else on the console. This morning
I was able to view my subscriptions on the left side in the guide and now it's gone. What's making me very upset now is that the videos are freezing but audio will continue to play and in order for me to get out of the app I have to shut down the system and
reboot. I cannot even open any other apps or play a game because the YouTube app is still in a frozen state. This has happened multiple times and it's getting to the point that I cannot use this app anymore or the xb1.

 

I'm having an issue with the youtube app on xbox one. I used to use the sidebar to scroll through all of my subscriptions to watch the newest uploads from all of my favorite channels. Now, my subscriptions have disappeared from the sidebar. I have to go
to "subscriptions" and scroll from the beginning every time I want to get to a different channel. I tried signing out and back in, as well as deleting and reinstalling the youtube app.

 

Update - for me, it SEEMS to have been resolved. I only briefly checked this morning but I believe the scroll back limit has now been lifted. I didn't reinstall anything...

Will check multiple channels and playlists tonight and report back.

 

The upload feature seems to be missing from the guide as well.

If it has removed or in a different feature of the app, news would be helpful.
