youtube app video playback glitches/dropped frames

I've started having this issue on my Xbox one x , non Scorpio edition . Watching GN will do it and also Tech Yes City (but his is 30p @4k) . Watching the same videos on my S (the 30p ones play in 4k) , I will not get this issue . I'll watch to see what
the VP9 is it to see if it's the same . YouTube updated it's app on my Hisense 4k HDR10 tv & either they removed the HDR support or Hisense did . I no longer have HDR on it , yet the signal shows VP9.2 (which should be HDR) . All my issues seemed to occur
at the same time , which makes me think it's YouTube messing around .

I also found out that I can submit a feedback issue to youtube through a specific xbx link youtube.com/xb1_feedback, not sure if that will get any attention at google but worth a shot to make it aware if it is something with the youtube app.

Never hurts submitting a feedback.

I will also try to watch some of these videos in full length over the weekend rather than watching 5-10 mins. I will update you on how it goes.

this concern just started almost a week ago and its doing it on channels I have watched that have been 4k 60 for a while now, the xbox one x is fully capable of driving 4k60fps videos, the youtube app was updated I think earlier this year to support 4k
videos as it was limited to 1080p on consoles. You can manually select 4k but it doesn't show what framerate its running at unless you click on stats for nerds and the 4k videos will either be 4k 24p 30p or 60p.

So my youtube video is at the same version on my xbox. However today I noticed that the glitch doesn't always appear on one video, today it happened after 3.... 20 minute videos all of which were 4k 60fps and on the 3rd video it started happening again,
and before these videos I have swapped the hdmi cable but it still happens and I wasn't thinking it was the hdmi cable as my 4k hdr games work just fine.

Probably this weekend when I have more time I will put my desktop pc on the same port that I have the xbox plugged into and let 4k 60fps videos run for a while.

If you happen to watch any gamers nexus, it will happen on his videos because most of them are 4k 60fps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwBnkRN9miA this video I know for sure it happens on however its never in the same spot when the glitch occurs, like it can happen, back the video up and it won't do it again till a bit later. However pretty much any 4k 60fps
video it should do it if it does happen. If you want to know if you are indeed running 4k 60 just pop up the video stats and see if it says your current/optimal Res and the codec its using, it happens with vp9(315) on my xbx.

Just checked on my Scorpio edition with the video that you shared, and it works perfectly. No issues at all.

My YouTube app version is 1.1.347.70. You can check your app version, by selecting YouTube app from guide or home, press menu button, and select Manage app.

Can you go to your Xbox Settings and go to Display and Sound -> Video output and see what you have there?
