YouTube app redesign

So, over the past 2 days or so, I've been enjoying a new look that the YouTube app on the Xbox One received. It's much more streamlined and easier to find what you're looking for, IMO, and it will be coming to other devices soon as well. Have you seen it
yet? If so, what do you think of it?

I am not a fan of the redesign either. The app was developed by Google(YouTube) and they are the ones who need to hear the complaints. Unfortunately, Microsoft had nothing to do with this.

Hi. I just got home an hour ago Saturday night for me played some zombies on BO2 COD and Minecraft but will check it out. I'll log onto my 1 and tell you my response in 5. Ooo, I'll see if the August update is officially out it's the 16th already

 

rrr where's that August Update. Saturday night 8:14 pm 16th August, it's got to be out soon.

Wow my console must of downloaded the update in only 1 second. Didn't see a Dashboard message saying "yolo got an update". The app looks very identical to the app on my Samsung android phone! That's the first thing that popped up.

Is it the same for Xbox 360? I might check that out. Well I'm free until Monday morning so get to stay up as late as I want.

 

G am I the only one contributing here, guess I'm a bit bored. I think it looks way more cleaner, without Education Travel and a whole list of unwanted unnecessary things on the left pane. Had to scroll for several seconds just to find History, etc. Not really
now. Lots of peps including myself like using the YouTube app on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. I can't recall the last time I used IE on Xbox 360 sometime last year. I rarely use IE on Xbox 1 but the Skype app links you to it when you want to check your account details.
I like the new look. As for the Xbox 360, no change to the YouTube app. Lots of my friends including me use the YouTube app. I've never used YouTube on the IE... I'm just not into IE on Xbox. I prefer it on my laptop.

It does look better. Still waiting for them to add a better search feature.

 

wish the search feature would put newest vids first i use youtube to watch indy racing but have scroll for ages to find newest race

 

^^I would just like to be able to use Y to put a space in-between words.

 

No need to use Y at all - my favorite part is that the search function now works perfectly with a USB keyboard.

 

What if I don't want to use a keyboard? I want to press Y to space too LOL

 

Can you scroll the letter's quicker now while using the controller to do a search? It was very slow before.

 

I wasn't sure whether it was faster or not, so I went ahead and gave it a try. I'm happy to announce that you can quickly and seamlessly move through the alphabet simpy by pressing left or right without any pausing whatsoever in-between letters.
