YouTube App can be controlled by unpaired Android Tablet

I can have my Xbox One playing a game, watching Netflix, or on the home screen. Then my brother can load his YouTube app on his android tablet and hit a button and have it launch the video in the YouTube app on my Xbox. I do not have any accounts signed
into YouTube, no devices are paired. It can do it and I cannot prevent it. This is a HUGE security issue for me. I have tried turning off all smartglass connections to no avail. If I uninstal the YouTube app it can't happen. This is a Tremendous security risk
for me and I will not use YouTube.

I realize this is primairly something to be fixed by Google, but I do not think it's appropriate for this kind of back door into the Xbox. Hopefully someone has a suggestion for me as to how to turn that ability off.

    :)

Saving a paired connection with youtube on Xbox One

Sorry @caseofbase, the pairing done between the YouTube app on your Android tablet and the Xbox One is a function implemented by google/youtube itself. You will need to contact their support to see if they have this ability.

Xbox One SmartGlass is a separate app that can be paired with your Xbox One console for various control, input, social, and 2nd screen companion experiences (and it will remember your pairing YouTube App can be controlled by unpaired Android Tablet :), but unfortunately it does not function that well specifically
with controlling the YouTube app at this time (YouTube is working on a fix for that).

    Thanks

Sorry to hear it. Can you try heading to Settings>Preferences and ensure that the option for Smartglass Connection is set to either Only From Profiles Signed In or Don't Allow Smartglass Connections.

    That should solve the problem.

I have always had it set "Only from profiles signed in", but for testing turned it off completely. That did not fix it. As I said, the YouTube app seems to have a backdoor (intentional or not)that allows other platforms' YouTube apps to control it, and there
is no setting to turn it off.

    Thank you!!

Have to disagree on the Netflix app, it looks like something upscaled from a cheap Android tablet.

Youtube could definitely do with some severe re-design though.
