  1. Your xbox account is not secure!!!!!!!!! Beware if u have kids!!!!!!!

Was playing Forza 5 tonight and came to a point in the game that i was offered to buy a car in game. Chose the car and all of a sudden I was prompted to buy a package (mid game) for $49.99 of actual money. I went through the prompts and realized no security
code was needed to make purchase (i did not make the purchase for the expensive pack but did buy an individual car and was never asked for a password or my 3 digit pin on the back of my card). I called xbox about this issue but the customer support person
said this was normal as a password is needed to login to the account so there was no need to ask for a password to access my personal bank account. I find this to be a major issue that should be resolved . This gives the abilty for anyones child to simply
hit 2 buttons to make a purchase for hundreds of dollars. This needs to be stopped and a security feature really needs to be put in place. Please let this problem be heard!!!!!

    :)

Xbox Windows App needs to have option to fully sign out - it's a child safety issue

    Windows allows fast user switching.

Create a separate account on your PC for your child (since you have made a child account already, he can simply sign in on Windows 10 with that account).

Then secure your computer account with a password your kid doesn't know.

Whenever you're not around, make sure you are not actively signed in on the PC (simply press Windowskey + L), and the kid is able to sign in with their own account then.

That gives them their own desktop space, and they can't use your Xbox app.

Per the Terms of Usage agreement for Xbox LIVE any child under the age of 13 must be monitored by a legal guardian at all times. Any persons under the age of majority in a given country is also flagged as a child and needs to be set up under an adult's
account. There are more than enough security measures in place. Watch your children--as you contractually agreed to when you joined Xbox LIVE--and don't use the console as a baby sitter. No more security is needed.

You have an option to set up parental controls on child accounts. If it's not a child account why does your child have access to it?

It's called being a parent op you are required to either put parental settings on and still monitor your child

For example you leave your child in front of a TV and they play musical buttons who is responsible you are if they call the cops or a neighbor

Electronics are not a babysitter and it dangerous to even leave an child unattended

  7. To everyone saying "watch your kids": This is simply not always possible. I could be sitting right next to the kid and not see in time he is clicking on "Purchase".

It is completely ridiculous that that be used as an answer - MS has an obligation to at the very least request an additional pin code.

Apple has blocks for In-App purchases as well as an option to prompt for pin/password for each purchase - and if memory serves the UK had that tested in court too - and the consumer was awarded.

Is this just a deliberate attempt to make more money?

  9. Watching your children is always possible. I watch my children. My friends watch theirs too. You pay attention to them; you interact with them. You do not just sit them on a sofa and turn on a piece of technology and go on about your business. Kids
need parental supervision because they are quite literally unable to tell the difference in right or wrong behavior. Please, be a parent to your children because Microsoft, Apple, or any other corporation will never be.

Microsoft is obligated to do no such thing. If you have a child and you don't want them making purchases then give them a child account with parental controls enabled and use a passcode on your account.

You should make a child account for him/her. You can't just leave an expensive piece of technology that includes the most important thing you've got to a kid. It's like giving someone a 100$ and telling him to do nothing with it. You should monitor your
child, or set up a child account for him/her.
