    Your TV signal was lost - FOREVER


    I realize there have been some similar posts regarding this issue but I decided to start a new one because I have just been unable to get this working at all. Recently got my Xbox One and right from the get go, the Live TV hasn't worked. Tried the troubleshooting
    stuff (power cycle your components, etc.) but nothing works.

    Here are the details:

    Xbox One without Kinect

    TV: Sony Bravia KDL 40S5100

    Set top box: Telus OptikTV Cis330

    Pretty ridiculous how this thing just flat out doesn't work and how this is a known issue. Would appreciate some help

    Your TV signal was lost...

    Just to note that my #1 no longer seems to work. #2 still does but is mighty inconvenient when your DVR happens to be recording and you can turn it off. What a frustrating device this has been.

    well, i'm unplugging my cable box from my xbox one, since it never works anymore. when i got my xbox one, live tv worked most of the time and, if it didn't, it was easily resolved. now, through the last few updates, live tv works 5% of the time if i'm
    lucky, with no way to resolve the error when it occurs. so the update effectively took away functionality from my xbox one, and i'm now unplugging something that's supposed to be a core feature of the system over PS4. way to go xbox/microsoft. cheers all

    Sorry to hear you're upset. I was doing some research on OptikTV for the Xbox One and found a post (linked below) stating that there are no plans to bring it to the Xbox One. This post, however, was made 11 months ago so things may have changed since then.
    What I would suggest is hit them up with requests to add their service for support on the console.

    After going through that thread, it seems like the box CAN work with my Xbox One. I'll try PMing those on the TELUS forums and see what happens. Thanks for that.

    Very unfortunate that Telus refuses to support this. I would honestly be watching more TV if I could seamlessly switch between my console and TV. Wish they'd stop meddling too much.

    Anyways, many thanks to you. No official support but hopefully I can find a work around. Will post if that works.

    This has been happening to me too for quite some time. Being able to run my cable box through my xb1 was convenient due to having a sound bar with an optical output and my tv not supporting optical. Running it through the xb1 it sounds great...when it's
    working...which lately has proven to be very rare. Did you guys ever get it fixed? I've seen others complain about the same issue with no fixes.
