your tv setup doesn't support hdr10

I get this message in notifications. Your TV setup does not support HDR10 for gaming. But it says every other feature works fine. It says "Your TV supports 4k 10-bit at 60 Hz' and has a tick mark for every other HDR for movies and 4K feature. What setting
should I change in my TV in order to support HDR10 for gaming I have a Thomson 43UC6406 TV.

The TV has a HDR10 bit featur. It specifically states that

Fernsehen, Haushaltsgeräte, Computer, Audio und Video von Thomson

    :)

    No HDR10 For Games

I'm having the same issue with my Sony 900E. I just tried your suggestions, but the X still isn't recognizing HDR10. I have the Xbox One X plugged directly into my TV, using the hdmi cable supplied. I have also manually enabled HDR10 in the TV settings.

Under "Watching Movies & TV" it says "Your TV supports 4K 10-bit at 24hrz" and "Your TV supports HDR video".

Under "Playing Games" it says "Your TV setup does not support HDR10 for gaming. Games will not be shown in HDR."

Not sure what else to do.

I'm having the same issue with my 900E. I just tried your fix, and that setting did need to be enabled, but the X still isn't recognizing HDR10.

Under "Watching Movies & TV" it says "Your TV supports 4K 10-bit at 24hrz" and "Your TV supports HDR video"

Under "Playing Games" it says "Your TV setup does not support HDR10 for gaming. Games will not be shown in HDR."

I have also manually enable HDR10 in the TV settings. Not sure what else to do.

Could it be that Xbox One S does not support 4K or HDR gaming at all, or?

I mean that a setup include both console+tv - so setup lack that for gaming needing both to support.

I know all PS4 got a patch with firmware for HDR when PS4 Pro came about, but wonder if any games do anything with that.

I do some photo with HDR - and it is really for special lighting conditions - not like everything will suddenly look so different or better.

What it does is basically what eyes do - when you look at a certain spot, eyes adjust to lighting of that spot.

Since a screen does not know where you look - you tonemap the full image and perform a compression of the lighting on various parts - you balance exposure of darker parts and exposure of lighter parts.

If games are to do this, to look different - I guess that developers need to render scenes with that in mind. But since tonemapping is a heavy operation on processing side, if monitor support 10-bit color depth the monitor take care of that and games need
not do so much other than use 10 bits. But not much will look any different because of this. Hex 3FF red, 3FF green and 3FF blue will just be white anyway, compare to otherwise FF+FF+FF.

    Hi

HDR for games is not a feature that all games support if you carry out an internet search for this you should be able to find a full list of games that use this feature. Off the top of my head I know Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, Hitman and Mass Effect
    Andromeda all support HDR

If you are having other issues with HDR please follow the support guide below. A couple of quick things to remember with 4K and HDR mode is that you should use the HDMI cable supplied with the console and that on the television you very often have to change
a setting to the HDMI port to allow it display 4K and HDR images.

    That TV is garbage.

I'm surprised it can even do 1080p let alone HDR.

Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 5040UB with Denon S720W having issues with 4k

    Hi all,

I am very confused. My Projector says it supports 4k HDR10 and so does my reciever. However, when I go to display settings 4k detail it says my TV setup doesn't support 4k 10-bit at 50hz, TV setup doesn't support 4k 10-bit at 60hz, TV setup doesn't support
Dobly Vision, TV setup doesn't support HDR10 for gaming, and TV setup doesn't support HDR10 for video capture.

But it supports HDR10 for video and 4k 10-bit at 24HZ as well as 4k UHD (60Hz). Yet when I call the companies that make my reciever and projector they say it does indeed support HDR10. Also when I look at the Signal output, it says the color depth is 8-bit
4:2:0, the people at Epson said the Xbox should be output 4:2:2. Anyone know what I need to do so my Xbox and project give me the support it is suppose to? The color format is also showing up as BT.709 But if I switch to my 4k fireTv it says the color format
is BT.2020 HDR. I also tried plugging my projector directly into the xbox, bypassing the reciever and still get the same data from the 4k details screen. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks
are you useing a xbox one x or a xbox one s
