Your thoughts on update 4?

Overall, I'm loving it. I think it's a great update. It seems to have fixed the bulk of the screen tearing. The matchmaking is improved. The weapon balancing is great, although I've not tried big punch with the ogre yet (I've seen some people say they've
nerfed it too much). I really like Marked for Death, although it sucks when you're playing with randoms as everyone just seems to run about like chickens with their heads cut off, lol. The few times I was the mark, nobody tried to defend me, so I would just
try and get into a good defensive position and last as long as I could. The titan burn cards are great! There's other little things too, such as being able to track a challenge and change the voice of your titan.

The one thing that's a bit "meh" are the titan customisations. There's loads of them and it's a cool idea, but you can barely even see them on titans.

Oh yeah, I'm not a fan of the new pilot kill sound. I usually have my speakers cranked up quite loud and I find that noise a bit too much.

All in all, I think this is the best update yet by some distance. Respawn have done a great job of supporting this game post-launch!

Your thoughts on Warframe?

I love it!!! My favorite game to come out so far. Already spent £40 on the game! Strange because it's not normally my type of game but I love it so much.

Only problem I have is I love and only play co-op/multiplayer games so when it comes to finding people to play with it can take up to 15 minutes just to find one player because there are soooo many missions that it's hard finding people on the same mission
as you if you are further ahead. So it always results to spamming invites to people on the chat room.

 

Thoughts on update?

I haven't updated my system and I want to know did Microsoft add voice chat?

 

I couldn't even see the Titan decals in game. I like the new art in the lobbies and the new clips on the title screen. It's a step in the right direction. At least they are supporting the game still. Marked for Death seems fun but I haven't played it on
my server yet so I am looking forward to giving it a go on 50ms latency instead of 180ms on SE Asia.

 

Yeah, I think as "updates" go this was, for the most part a solid one. Agree with those that said the Titan Punch was weakened too much. I use it alot... so,yeah that sucked,lol. I think your observation of weapon/matchmaking tweaks was spot on.

I too, really enjoy "Marked for Death", hope it eventually becomes permanent. It definitely devolves into chaos,lol.

Good support of a good game,IMO.

 

I feel like the carbine got just the tweak it needed to give other guns a chance, sad part is it still dominates every other rifle up close

 

I'm loving the new update. Yeah the Titan customisation is pointless, would be nice to customise your Titan further, but apart from that I like everything else. I love the MFD game mode it's very tactical and if you don't work
together you will lose - which I like!

 

I still need to try it out after the update. Hopefully this update will make the game a little more fair and balanced. Definitely going to give it a go after work. Shame the Titan customizations aren't more prominent. Would have loved to see some paint jobs
or something.

 

Theirs still issues with the game,

Don't get me wrong, What a great improvement.

I'll start with the Major ones.

The severs are being hacked. I've seen this multiple times.

I'm playing away and the other teams losing. The when its like hardpoint mission:

My team: 236 for example

Other team: 96 for example.

Suddenly the game re-freshes to game lobby, Same maps. All the same players.

The people from the other team quit. Along this, All used burn cards are lost.

I'm Guesting I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Its a Major problem and needs fixing ASAP.

Then the Campaign balancing isn't correct enough. Teams can still have all high ranks with all lower on the other. I think that the game needs for example "Skill Rating" Records your performance on each game and awards you points, These points are added
up and divided by the amount of players. If the skill rating from each team isn't close enough, the game wont start and will switch the players around to even it out.

The New Cards are Great, But now the rare titan cards are harder to get when your at a higher level.

Also some cards get discarded a lot as players have certain styles of fighting and use the card what's most effective with there style. Leaving a lot of unwanted cards.

I would like to see on the random cards, where you can select what category you want the card to some from.

This would improve players gaming experience.

Along side this, the titan and pilot cards are different, Why can't we activate both a pilot and titan cards?

With the Bonus cards, the slots 3 slots aren't effective enough, Having an additional slot unlock at 5th gen and maybe another one at 10th gen. is a good idea.

I Hope they take this into account. And fix them sever hacks ASAP.

I am really enjoying this update. I love the larger burn card decks and the ability to discard when you're over the limit rather than have the game do it for you. Also like the new menu art. I had always thought the old look resembled that of a PC game from
1997. lol

One thing I have noticed is your burn card deck will become "locked" on one card even though you are pushing the analog stick to scroll, and can hear the sound it makes when scrolling. Mildly annoying when trying to fill burn card slots quickly between matches
but nothing to lose sleep over.

 

all in all, its a great update. I know ive said before in an older post that Halo should be Halo and TF, TF but when I see the decals, im just so disappointed and wishing there was more Halo like customizations. Let me add some stripes to the chest or arm
Respawn.

The matchmaking system and evenness is much better but I hate that in one game im playing with a guy then in the very next game, hes an opposing player that I have to put down. Unless youre in a party/private lobby, theres no comradery built, no reason to
add him to my friendslist because lets face it, how many of us add the opposing team to our lists?

Hey Juggs, if you are ever on the opposing team, I'll add you as a friend. Lol. Personally, I LOVE fighting against my friends. In COD, I intentially don't party up because I love hearing my friends' groans and outbursts when I kill them over and over. Lol.
Unfortunately, TF doesn't have a mic break option when killing an enemy but still.

As for the update, which I played extensively today, I'm fairly pleased. I was really hoping that the jack boot lag issue would finally be gone but to no avail. When you hear the hit notification, that person should die; not have a whole second to kick you
back. I know this is primarily a connection issue but there has got to be some kind of compensation they can dish out to improve this.

The decals are neat but you can't even see the red ones and the blue ones are only marginally more visible. They are definitely too small and barely even warrant a mention. But an A for effort is in order, especially since they are supporting their game.

And the last thing I will mention is: holy nuclear ejection! It seems like they have really amped it up since the last time I played. It seems like you can't really get away from it anymore unless you are in a titan and you dash away. There were several
times that I even ducked around a wall and it still got me. Lol. Needless to say, I am now using it since it is so beastly. This isn't necessarily a bad thing considering I always felt it was too weak before, especially to. E called a "nuclear" ejection. The
skill should have been called "party popper" before.

 

The only thing about the update that (slightly) bothers me is the new lobby balancing system... pre-patch, you would get thrown in with a random group... if you got spanked twice in a row they would send the better team packing and bring a new team in, closer
to your teams basic skill level, giving you a chance to get better as a team... also, if you were on a solid, winning team, it was fun to stay with that group for a while... now it blends and mixes each team after every game, which is a bit of a bummer...
I liked knowing that after a hard loss we could come back and beat the same team... since it now blends players each time, wins are a little less rewarding...

 

I prefer the new matchmaking system, because it means less waiting around. Much less, in fact. I understand where you're coming from though.

One thing that's broken in this update is the smart pistol. Abbie from Respawn has acknowledged the issue and said they're working on a fix. It now has multiple issues. Sometimes when lock on to multiple targets and fire, it only fires one bullet unless
you hold the trigger down. Sometimes you lock on to a bunch of grunts, fire, and it doesn't kill them all. Sometimes when you sprint or wall run, it loses the lock. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
